Itinerary
- Day 1
Lima
You'll land in Lima and get transferred to your hotel in Miraflores. After settling in, the rest of the day is open for you to wander around the neighborhood at your own pace. This gives you time to adjust and get a feel for the city on your own terms.

- Day 2
Lima
Start with a city tour that covers both old and new Lima. You'll begin at Plaza de Armas in the colonial center and see the government palace, then move through San Francisco Monastery where you can check out the catacombs. Later, head to the modern areas of San Isidro and Miraflores. The day wraps up at Parque del Amor with its Pacific Ocean views, and you'll finish at the Larco Museum to see their pre-Columbian collections.

Lima to Arequipa
Fly to Arequipa and spend the day taking in the colonial architecture throughout the city. You'll visit Casa de Moral with its historic mulberry tree, then see Mansion Irriberry (known as the 'talking house'), followed by Casa de Tristan del Pozo. After that, walk through Santa Catalina Monastery, a complex so large it functions like a city within a city where nuns have lived for over 400 years in its colorful streets.

Arequipa
You have a free day to explore Arequipa however you'd like. If you prefer structured activities, there are optional tours available in the area. Otherwise, you can wander the city, revisit places, or just relax at your hotel.

Arequipa to Colca Canyon
Drive through Aguada Blanca National Park where you'll spot wild vicuñas, llamas, and alpacas along the way. You'll reach a viewpoint at 4,910m/16,109ft with views of snow-capped volcanoes stretching across the landscape. After lunch in Chivay, you can either soak in the thermal baths or visit the local market to see what's there.

- Day 6
Colca Canyon to Puno
Get up early for breakfast, then head out to Cruz del Condor viewpoint to watch condors soar above the canyon. From there, you'll see colonial churches in the villages of Maca and Yanque, and stop at scenic overlooks along the way. The drive to Puno takes you through beautiful Andean terrain, and a lunch box is provided for the journey.

Amantani Island
An early pickup gets you on Lake Titicaca for the full day. You'll visit the 40 floating reed islands of the Uros people and see how they've maintained their traditional way of life for generations. Then travel to Amantani Island to explore granite stonework and see textile traditions. You'll have lunch with local families and watch traditional dances in the evening.

Amantani Island to Puno via Taquile Island
Say goodbye to your island hosts and return to Puno by boat, stopping at Taquile Island along the way. There you'll see locals wearing traditional clothing and watch the famous knitting men at work. You'll have a typical local lunch and then head back to Puno for your hotel transfer.

Puno to Cusco
Travel across the Andean highlands by public tourist bus heading toward Cusco, crossing La Raya pass at 4,335m/14,222ft. You'll stop in Pukara for the Stone Museum and see ceramic crafts, then visit Raqchi ruins with the Wiracocha Temple. Before Cusco, explore the Three Bridges of Checacupe and tour Andahuaylillas with its frescoed interior called the 'Sistine Chapel of South America'. Lunch at a local restaurant is included.

Cusco
Explore Cusco on a city tour that takes you through the heart of the Inca Empire. You'll start at Plaza de Armas and tour the cathedral, then walk through streets where Inca walls still stand. See the Koricancha Sun Temple (now part of Santo Domingo church), and visit the ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo sanctuary, and Tambomachay water temple outside the city.

- Day 12
Ollantaytambo
Head to the Sacred Valley starting at Awana Kancha, a wool processing project where you can see all four of South America's camel species. Then go to Pisac village, known for its agricultural terraces and colorful market full of craft stalls and local products (bargaining is the norm here). After lunch, drive to Ollantaytambo, a fortress village where the Spanish never managed to conquer the Incas.

- Day 13
Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu to Cusco
Walk to Ollantaytambo train station and board the panoramic train that runs through a river valley with snow-capped mountains visible. You'll arrive in Aguas Calientes, then take shuttle buses for a 30-minute scenic drive up winding roads to Machu Picchu. Explore the famous Inca site and learn about its discovery and different construction theories. Later, return by train and bus back to Cusco.
