- Day 1
Athens
You'll arrive in Athens and have an English-speaking assistant meet you for the transfer to your hotel. At check-in, you'll get a rundown of what's ahead and information about the city itself. The rest of the day is yours to wander around Athens and get oriented to the area.

- Day 2
Athens
After breakfast, your guide takes you on a panoramic tour of Athens' Neoclassical Center, hitting the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Gate of Hadrian, and Panathenaic Stadium. Then you'll head to the Acropolis and spend time at the Acropolis Museum (entrance is covered). You'll have free time in the afternoon, and later an evening walking tour takes you through Anafiotika, Thissio, Monastiraki, and Plaka neighborhoods.

Athens to Mykonos
You'll transfer to Piraeus port and board a ferry to Mykonos, spending the crossing relaxing on deck and taking in the Aegean Sea. When you arrive, an English-speaking representative meets you and helps with your hotel transfer. The rest of your day is open for exploring Mykonos on your own.

- Day 4
Mykonos
This is a free day on Mykonos. You can hit the beaches, walk through the shops, and experience the nightlife. Try Mediterranean food with fresh vegetables, olive oil, and seafood. If you want, you can catch a short ferry to Delos, the ancient birthplace of Apollo and Artemis, which dates back to 3000 BC.

Landmarks Delos - Day 5
Mykonos to Santorini
You'll have breakfast and then head by private vehicle to the port for a ferry to Santorini. Arriving at Fira, you'll see the white cliffside houses overlooking the volcano. An English-speaking representative greets you and takes you to your hotel. Spend the evening exploring the narrow streets and getting to know the island.

- Day 6
Santorini
You have a free day to explore Santorini at your own pace and check out the landscapes. If you're interested, you can take an optional sailboat tour to the small islands of Santorini Caldera, Nea, and Palea Kameni where you'll see the hot springs with their distinctive green and yellow waters.

Santorini to Heraklion
You'll transfer to Athinios port and take a ferry to Heraklion, Crete's capital. Heraklion has historical significance tied to King Minos and the Minotaur, and was the center of the Minoan civilization. The ancient Palace of Knossos, Europe's oldest palatial complex, is here. Once you arrive, you'll collect your rental car and drive to your hotel.

Heraklion to Chania
Starting from Heraklion, you'll drive your rental car west to Chania on well-maintained roads at your own pace. Stop by the Palace of Knossos, the legendary home of King Minos and the Minotaur. You might also visit Rethymnon on the way, which sits between mountains and the Mediterranean coast. The drive covers about 140 kilometers through Crete's interior. You'll check in at your Chania hotel later.

Chania
You have a free day to rest and explore Chania, which is one of Europe's main vacation destinations. Use your rental car to visit beaches like Balos, Elafonisi, or Falasarna, several of which are considered some of the best around.

Chania to Agia Galini
After breakfast, drive south toward Agia Galini, a town that started developing during the 1970s tourism boom. From there, you can visit nearby beaches including Preveli, which has palm trees and small waterfalls at the mouth of the Megalopotamos river, or Matala with calm waters and limestone caves. According to mythology, Zeus came ashore here as a bull. The total drive is about 110 kilometers.

Agia Galini to Agios Nikolaos
After breakfast, drive east to Agios Nikolaos in northeastern Crete using the scenic south coast road. You'll pass towns along the Libyan Sea including Ierapetra, which was important during the Minoan Era. You can optionally take a ferry to Christi Island with its cedar trees and golden sand, or hike 3 kilometers to Milonas waterfall (which sits 15 kilometers away). Continue north to Agios Nikolaos when ready. This drive covers about 167 kilometers total.

Agios Nikolaos
You have a free day to explore Mirabello Bay and the surrounding area. Visit Lake Voulismeni, which connects to the sea by a canal and is tied to mythology involving Athena and Artemis. Grab a meal at one of the cafes or restaurants with great views. Voulisma Beach is just 15 minutes away with white sand and tropical blue-green waters. You might also check out Kritsa, a nearby mountain town known for local artisanal products.
