- Day 1
Quito
You'll arrive in Quito, Ecuador's capital located on the equator in the Andes Mountains. Depending on when you land, you can spend the day walking through the historic old town and checking out the surrounding neighborhoods, or you might prefer to relax at your hotel and get settled in after your flight.

- Day 2
Quito to Mindo Cloud Forest
After breakfast at the hotel, head northwest toward the Mindo Cloud Forest. At the Hummingbird Garden you'll see 10 to 20 species of hummingbirds and try some local tropical fruits. Then you'll take a 1 hour walk through the cloud forest where you can spot endemic plants, animals, streams and waterfalls. The Mindo Cloud Forest Reserve is one of the world's most biodiverse protected areas and you'll get a real sense of that walking through it.

Quito to Galapagos (Santa Cruz)
You'll have breakfast, check out of your hotel, and head to the airport for your flight to the Galapagos Islands. Once you land in Santa Cruz, a transfer will take you directly to your hotel so you can settle in and rest up.

- Day 4
Tortuga Bay and Charles Darwin Station
After breakfast, you'll drive a small road that climbs 2,500 meters to reach Tortuga Bay for a 2 hour hike to this white sand beach on Santa Cruz's south coast. Wild iguanas and beach crabs live here (swimming happens only in the designated mangrove area). Lunch comes next, then you'll visit the Charles Darwin Research Station to learn about conservation efforts in the Galapagos. Later that afternoon, you'll head to the ferry port and take the ferry over to San Cristobal Island.

- Day 5
Lobos Island
After breakfast, you're heading out by boat from San Cristobal to Lobos Island. The land tour gives you chances to see sea lions, frigates and marine iguanas. You'll then go snorkeling where stingrays and sea turtles might show up. A filling lunch is served on the island, and you'll have time to relax on the beaches before the boat takes you back to San Cristobal.

Kicker Rock Snorkeling
Meet your guide at 7:30 am at Puerto Baquerizo for a 2 hour boat ride to Kicker Rock. You'll snorkel at the lava formations and see Nazca boobies, blue footed boobies, frigatebirds and tropicbirds. Down below the surface, hammerheads, sea turtles and Galapagos sharks swim around, and you can explore the 60 foot deep channel between the underwater walls. Depending on conditions, you might visit Cerro Tijeretas or a quieter beach like Manglesito or Puerto Grande to watch more wildlife and relax. A box lunch gets served on the boat.

Galapagos (San Cristobal) to Guayaquil
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to the airport to catch your flight to Guayaquil. A transfer will meet you when you arrive and take you to your hotel.
