Edinburgh
Start with a guided walk down Edinburgh's Royal Mile through the historic center, then head up Castle Hill. You'll spend time exploring Edinburgh Castle using an audioguide that covers its military and royal history. After that, the afternoon is free to wander on your own and check out things like the underground vaults or the National Museum of Scotland.

Edinburgh to Pitlochry
Travel by private vehicle toward Pitlochry, stopping along the way. First up is historic Stirling Castle where you'll see the Great Kitchens and Queen Anne Gardens. Grab lunch in town, then head to the Scottish Crannog Centre on Loch Tay for a guided tour about ancient island dwellings and how people lived in prehistoric times.

Pitlochry
A local expert leads a guided walk through Pitlochry focusing on its Victorian heritage and history. Later you'll visit Blair Athol Distillery for a tour and taste three different whiskies. Pitlochry to Fort William
Head toward Fort William through beautiful Highland landscapes. You'll stop at a family-owned sheepdog farm in Kincraig to watch demonstrations and learn how herding commands work. After lunch in Aviemore, visit Culloden Moor's visitor center for an immersive experience. On the way you'll pass Loch Ness, Fort Augustus, and Loch Lochy before reaching Fort William.

Fort William to Isle of Skye

You'll visit Dunvegan Castle, a 13th-century fortress and the historic home of the MacLeod clan. Walk around the harbor town of Portree and stop by the traditional fishing village of Kyleakin before heading back to your hotel.
