Ponta Delgada
A private transfer collects you from the airport and takes you to your hotel in Ponta Delgada for a 4-night stay. Spend the day walking around the city center at your own pace. By evening, head to a typical local restaurant to try some regional dishes and get a feel for the local food scene.

São Miguel Full-Day Tour
You'll travel across São Miguel starting at Vila Franca do Campo, the former capital, where you'll taste the local sweet Queijada da Vila. From there, head to Furnas Valley to see volcanic fumaroles and learn about the traditional Cozido das Furnas. You can visit the Terra Nostra garden and take optional thermal baths. Stop at Pico de Ferro for views over the valley, then continue north to the Gorreana tea plantation to taste black and green teas. The day ends at the Santa Iria viewpoint overlooking the north coast.

- Day 3
São Miguel Full-Day Tour
After breakfast, check out Lagoa do Fogo and Sete Cidades. You'll visit a traditional pineapple plantation and taste the famous pineapple liqueur. The route takes you to Pico de Carvão viewpoint along the west coast, then Vista do Rei where you can see the twin lakes with their blue and green colors. You'll see Lago de Santiago in the crater and stop in Sete Cidades village for lunch. Later, travel along the north coast through the old whaling village of Capelas, stopping at Pedras Negras viewpoint. Visit Ribeira Grande's historic center, then swim at Caldeira Velha nature reserve in warm waterfall waters (optional). The day wraps up at Lagoa do Fogo before heading back via Pico da Barrosa.

- Day 4
São Miguel (Optional Activities)
Today you choose how to spend your time. Option 1 takes you on a three-hour whale watching boat trip where you might see up to 28 cetacean species including whales and dolphins, plus turtles and birds. Option 2 is a hike to Salto do Prego waterfall starting in Faial da Terra parish, where you'll walk through orchards, forests and stone roads. You can cool off with a dip in the waterfall pool, then explore the abandoned village of Sanguinho and stop at Pico dos Bodes viewpoint. You also have the option to visit thermal springs at Furnas or swim at Povoação or Ribeira Quente.

Ponta Delgada to Funchal
Today you'll fly to Madeira. Upon arrival at the airport, a private transfer takes you to your hotel in Funchal. Spend the rest of the day exploring the island and trying some typical local food and drinks.

Madeira East Side Full-Day Tour
Your exploration of Madeira's east side starts at Terreiro da Luta. Head to Pico do Areeiro, the third highest peak at 1,818 metres (5,965 feet), which offers great island views. You'll descend through the forest to see Madeira's last traditional straw houses, then continue through small villages with nice coastal views to the island's easternmost point. Stop at Ribeiro Frio on the northern slope (popular for levada walks) to see trout ponds and Laurissilva forest. Lunch is in Santana with its distinctive small thatched triangular houses. From there, continue to Ponta de São Lourenço for dramatic rocks and coastal scenery, finishing at Machico viewpoint overlooking the bay and sandy beach.

Madeira West Side Full-Day Tour
After breakfast, explore Madeira's west side starting at Câmara de Lobos, the island's first traditional fishing village. Head to Cabo Girão, Europe's highest cliff at over 580 metres (1,900 feet). Continue north through Serra d'Água's deep valleys to Encumeada, where you can see views overlooking both coasts. You'll visit São Vicente, one of the largest villages on the north coast. Stop in Porto Moniz for about an hour to have lunch and see the volcanic pools. Return by crossing Paul da Serra, Madeira's highest plateau, which offers great panoramic views.

Funchal to Lisbon
This morning features the Rabaçal 25 Fontes Levada walk, one of the island's most popular hikes. You'll start on the Paul da Serra plateau and descend to Pousada do Rabaçal to begin. The path shows off dramatic scenery with endemic plants and wildlife. The first stop is the Risco waterfall, then you continue to Lagoa das 25 Fontes surrounded by numerous waterfalls and giant endemic ferns. The clear lagoon is there if you want to take a dip. In the afternoon, you'll transfer to the airport for your flight to Lisbon. Upon arrival, a private transfer takes you to your hotel.

Lisbon
Your local guide picks you up from the hotel for a tour of Lisbon. You'll start on Avenida da Liberdade, where nobility and royalty once walked during the monarchy. Visit Parque Eduardo VII, Lisbon's largest central park, for city views. The park was named in 1903 to honour King Edward VII's visit and the Anglo-Portuguese alliance. Then explore Alfama and Bairro Alto neighbourhoods where traditions stay vibrant and cultural diversity reflects centuries of community. The tour ends at Praça do Comércio, one of Europe's largest squares with government institutions and sweeping Tagus River views. This evening, head to an emblematic fado house for traditional Portuguese food and a live music performance.

Sintra and Cascais
After breakfast, a private transfer takes you to Sintra and Cascais, about 30 km from Lisbon. Sintra has a fairy tale quality with its mild climate, lush vegetation and mystical feel. You'll choose one iconic landmark to explore: the National Palace of Sintra, Pena Palace, Monserrate, or Quinta da Regaleira, each offering something different. You'll continue to Cabo da Roca, mainland Europe's westernmost point, for Atlantic Ocean views. In the afternoon, visit Cascais, a 12th-century fishing village that keeps its historic charm and coastal character. Return to Lisbon along the coastal road through Estoril, passing beautiful beaches and elegant seaside architecture.
