Itinerary
- Day 1Arusha to NdutuYour safari starts with an 8 AM pickup from your Arusha hotel, then you'll spend about 5.5 hours driving through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The landscape shifts gradually from hilly forests to open grasslands as you head toward Ndutu. Once there, a half-day game drive kicks off with a picnic lunch included. If you're traveling December through April, you'll likely catch the great migration along with predators and the six big cat species in the region. Back at your lodge by 5 PM for dinner and rest. - Meals

- Day 2NdutuToday you have options for how to structure your day in the Ndutu region. You can either sleep in, have breakfast, then head out around 9 AM for a full-day game drive, or start early at 6 AM, grab breakfast back at the lodge afterwards, and do an afternoon game drive instead. Either way, you'll follow the migration route and watch predators hunt young wildebeest. You're back at the lodge by 5 PM for dinner. - Meals

- Day 3Serengeti National ParkAfter breakfast, you're heading into Serengeti National Park, which stretches across endless grassland plains. The park covers 14,763 square kilometers, giving you plenty of space to spot the Big 5 along with impala and those massive granite kopjes rising from the land. A picnic lunch happens during your full-day game drive. The evening brings you back to your accommodation for dinner and rest. - Meals

- Day 4Serengeti to Ngorongoro CraterStart with a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park after breakfast, then you'll travel toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Ngorongoro Crater is Earth's largest intact collapsed volcanic crater, surrounded by extinct volcanoes and home to roughly 30,000 animals. You'll spot wildlife at numerous watering holes scattered across the crater floor. A picnic lunch occurs during your travel, followed by dinner at your accommodation. - Meals

- Day 5Ngorongoro Crater to ArushaYour final day starts before dawn with a quick breakfast and a 6:30 AM descent onto the Ngorongoro Crater floor. This inactive volcanic caldera spans 260 square kilometers with walls over 2,000 feet deep. Your 5-hour game drive shows off African elephants, buffalo, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions in abundance. After lunch at scenic Hippo Pool, you'll climb back up the crater rim, then drive 4 hours back to Arusha, arriving around 6 PM to say goodbye to your safari team. - Meals
