Itinerary
- Day 1
Paris
You'll arrive in Paris with the day open to explore at your own pace. Walk through neighborhoods, check out the architecture, grab lunch at a local spot, and wander into galleries or shops as you like. It's a chance to get a feel for the city without any planned activities.
- Day 2
Paris
After joining a guided city tour covering Paris's main landmarks, you'll head to the Champs-Élysées for shopping or just people watching. From there, you can visit the Louvre, climb up to Basilica of the Sacré Coeur in Montmartre, browse galleries, sit at literary cafés, or get your portrait sketched at Place du Tertre. The afternoon and evening are flexible.

Paris to Beaune to Chalon-sur-Saône
You'll take the high-speed train from Paris to Dijon early in the day, then drive to Beaune to see the Hôtel-Dieu Charity Hospital and its famous Last Judgment painting. Later you'll head to Chalon-sur-Saône, board your river cruise ship, and settle in overnight at Tournus.

Tournus to Trévoux
In Tournus, one of Burgundy's oldest monastic towns, you'll choose an activity from the Adventure Center: take a guided walk through town, join a Chardonnay cellar tasting, or attend a wine lecture on the ship. After that, you'll sail to Mâcon and overnight in Trévoux.

Trévoux to Lyon
This morning the ship sails to Lyon. You'll start with an onboard cheese and wine tasting led by your Master of Wine. Then pick either a bike ride through Lyon's architectural districts along the rivers or a guided sightseeing tour from Fourvière Hill into the Old Town. Later, there's a WWII and French Resistance lecture and evening entertainment. You'll stay overnight in Lyon.

Lyon to Tournon
Take a food walk through Lyon's famous culinary scene, sampling local specialties along the way. If you're interested, join an optional tour to the Beaujolais wine region to learn about its light wines. This evening, the Master of Wine hosts an onboard food and wine pairing dinner. Later, the ship cruises toward Tournon.

Tournon to Viviers to Avignon
Start your day with either a vineyard hike or a guided walking tour of Tournon's medieval streets and 16th-century castle, including wine and chocolate tasting at Cité du Chocolat. After lunch, you'll sail to Viviers, then take a guided walking tour of its pale stone buildings, Romanesque cathedral, and Old Town blending multiple historical influences. Evening entertainment follows before an overnight cruise to Avignon.

You have choices for the morning: join a power walk with your Adventure Host, take a van Gogh painting workshop where you'll create your own artwork, or go on a guided walking tour of Arles exploring the Roman Amphitheater and the city. After that, you'll have free time to visit Le Café van Gogh for a drink and wander around. You'll overnight in Arles.

Your trip ends this morning after breakfast. You'll head to Marseille airport for your departure. Keep in mind that flights shouldn't leave before 10 am, so you'll have time for a relaxed morning before heading out.
