- Day 2
Buenos Aires City Tour

Iguazu Falls
Today you're heading to Iguazu Falls, which sits right on the Argentine and Brazilian border and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The falls system spreads over 2.7 km with 275 different waterfalls, and the most powerful one is Garganta del Diablo, which stretches 150 meters wide and 700 meters long. The Argentine side has multiple hiking trails if you want to get up close, while the Brazilian side gives you those wider panoramic perspectives. You'll need the full day to really experience this natural wonder and figure out which viewpoints speak to you most.

- Day 4
Iguazu National Park (Brazilian Side)
You'll enter the Brazilian side of Iguazu National Park covering 185,000 hectares and board a bus that takes you on a park tour. There are pedestrian bridges stretching 1,200 meters over the Iguazu River gorge where you get those panoramic views of the Argentine waterfalls, including Rivadavia Falls and Tres Mosqueteros. You'll get to the lower viewpoint of Garganta del Diablo about 200 meters away, and if the light is right, rainbows form across the mist. The tour ends at Salto Floriano, and there's an elevator option if you want to skip the walk back up to the parking area.

Iguazu National Park (Argentine Side)
The Argentine side of the park covers 67,000 hectares with giant trees, ferns, butterflies, birds, and other wildlife throughout the subtropical jungle. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site back in 1984 because of the landscape beauty and biodiversity. You'll take a train from Cataratas station over to Garganta del Diablo station, then hike about 1.2 km on a walking trail to reach a viewpoint that really shows off why this place matters. The combination of the train ride and hike creates a different experience than the Brazilian side.

Salta
Welcome to Salta, called 'La Linda' or The Beautiful, sitting up in the northwest with colonial architecture and a location right at the Andes foothills. You can take the San Bernardo Hill cable car to get views over the city and the surrounding landscape. From here, Salta serves as your base to reach the salt flats, Purmamarca's Mountain of Seven Colors, the Cafayate wine region, and Cachi. There's also the option to ride the legendary Train to the Clouds from San Antonio de los Cobres up to the La Polvorilla Viaduct at 4,200 meters, though that's typically a separate tour.

Salta to Cafayate
Hotel pickup happens at 07:00 for a full-day excursion through Lerma Valley. You'll pass tobacco fields and villages with German colonial architecture where the old Belgrano Railway ended. Later you see the Las Conchas River Gorge with its unusual rock formations shaped by wind and water over time. The landscape has formations with names like the Dunes, the Toad, the Bishop, and Devil's Throat. You drive via Route 68 to Cafayate, the youngest city in the Calchaqu valleys, known for its Torrontes wine that you can taste at local wineries. The return journey on the same route looks completely different as the light changes on the rock formations. You'll be back at hotels around 19:00.

Salta Free Day
This day is completely yours to use however you want. You can stay relaxed at your hotel or get out and explore Salta on foot. San Bernardo Hill sits right in the city center and you can walk up or take the cable car. At the top there's a nice view over the entire city, a pleasant garden, and a terrace where you can just sit and take it all in. If you're up for something more active, bikes are available for rent so you can ride down into the valley. Either way, you'll get a real feel for why locals call this place 'the beautiful.'

Tastil - Purmamarca - Salinas Grandes
Hotel pickup from central Salta gets you heading toward Quebrada del Toro to see Tastil village with its cave paintings and impressive stone constructions. You'll visit Tastil ruins, an Incan archaeological site that's a UNESCO World Heritage location on the Inca Trail. Then you continue to San Antonio de los Cobres, known for its landscapes and characteristic culture. After lunch (not included), you cross Route 40 to reach Salinas Grandes, one of the world's largest salt flats and a major annual destination sitting right on the Salta Jujuy border. The descent through Cuesta de Lipan is where condors are frequently spotted. Later you visit Purmamarca village and see the Mountain of Seven Colors before returning to Salta hotels around 20:00.

Jujuy Valley
Pickup from central Salta starts at 07:00, first stopping at Purmamarca village to visit the Mountain of Seven Colors, the church, and the artisan market. You travel through Posta de Hornillos toward Tilcara and stop to see Pucare. In Huacalera you cross the Tropic of Capricorn with views of La Pollera de la Colla hill. Next is the Church of Uquia with paintings of the Arcabuceros Angels, significant works from the Cusquena school. You arrive in Humahuaca to see the cathedral and Independence Monument by sculptor Soto Avendano. After lunch, you explore the Palette of the Painter areas around Maimara. The return comes via the ledge trail with subtropical vegetation through Abra de Santa Laura where you see the dikes of La Cienega, Las Maderas, and Campo Alegre. Hotel return happens around 20:00.

Mendoza
You've arrived in Mendoza, Argentina's premier wine region and home to Malbec. This red wine originally came from France but found its true home here, earning international recognition for exceptional quality. The city goes by 'City of Sun and Good Wine' because of the wine production and excellent climate. The landscape around here is pretty stark and dry. Near the city is the 62,000-hectare Villavicencio nature reserve with mountain regions, thermal hot springs, and hidden caves. The abandoned Terme de Villavicencio Hotel is a main attraction people come to see.

Aconcagua
Early morning drive follows the Mendoza River with incredible views of the majestic Cordon del Plata mountain range and Potrerillos Dam. You'll visit Uspallata, a pre Hispanic settlement of the Huarpes aborigines and the southernmost point of the Inca Empire. Continue to Puente del Inca, an extraordinary Inca construction of stone strands. At about 2,750 meters elevation you get a view of Cerro Aconcagua at 6,959 meters, known as the Colossus of the Americas. The day includes stops at Laguna Horcones and Provincial Park Aconcagua. Later you reach the village of Las Cuevas and the Cristo Redentor Monument before heading back to your hotel in the evening.

Two prestigious wineries (subject to availability) welcome you for guided tours where expert winemakers walk you through production methods, bottling, and labeling. You get to taste 2 glasses of Argentine wine. Then you visit an olive farm to learn olive oil production and sample local delicacies. You're back at hotels after an afternoon focused on regional wine and olive oil tasting.
