You'll arrive in London and head to your welcome meeting at 6 pm to meet your group and trip leader. After that, the evening is completely yours. Catch a West End show if you're in the mood, or find a restaurant with a nice view for dinner. It's a relaxed start to get oriented and settled in.

London to Salisbury
Following breakfast, you'll take a train to Salisbury in the heart of England's countryside. Your trip leader gives you an orientation walk through this medieval city. Salisbury Cathedral, which dates back to 1227, sits nearby if you want to check it out on your own time. The evening is free, so you can spend it however you like.

Salisbury to Exeter
After breakfast, you head to Stonehenge, which is only a short drive away. Spend the morning at this 5,000-year-old archaeological site exploring on your own. Then you'll travel to your hotel on the outskirts of Exeter. By evening, you have free time, maybe find a cozy pub for dinner.

Exeter to Penzance
Following breakfast, you'll join a guided group walk on the Dartmoor Princetown trail. The route has gentle inclines and offers sweeping views across the moor. There's a good chance you'll spot Dartmoor ponies and historic farmhouses along the way. A picnic lunch is included during the walk. Then you travel to the seaside town of Penzance with the afternoon free to walk the cobbled streets, check out boutiques, and see fisherman's cottages.

Penzance
Start with breakfast, then head to Land's End and hike along the coastal terrain toward Porthcurno. You'll visit The Minack Theatre, an open-air venue overlooking the water along the Cornish cliffs. Lunch is included. Later you return to Penzance, with the rest of the evening at your own pace to relax or explore.

Penzance to Tintagel
After breakfast, you visit St Michael's Mount, a tidal island in Mount's Bay. Explore at your own pace and check out the church and medieval castle at the top. Finally you head to Tintagel, known for its connection to King Arthur, with the evening free to explore.

Tintagel

London

Following breakfast, you take a train to Oxford, a city that grew up around a prestigious 12th century university. Cardiff to Snowdonia National Park
You'll wake early for breakfast, then transfer by private vehicle to Beddgelert in Snowdonia, a village named after a legendary dog. You'll hike on the Lon Gwyrfai trail from Rhyd Ddu to Beddgelert through Welsh plantations, ancient woodlands, and valley viewpoints. An included group lunch breaks up the walk. After, you transfer to Bangor. The afternoon is free to relax or visit one of the many cathedrals.

After breakfast, you head to the train station and travel to Glasgow. Your current trip leader won't travel with you, but you'll get all necessary tickets and instructions. Upon arrival, attend a welcome meeting at 6 pm to meet travelers joining this leg and your new trip leader. Explore Glasgow's character as a UNESCO Creative City of Music. Check out the Riverside Museum with interactive displays about Glasgow's transport history as a major port. Stroll along the River Clyde banks or visit Glasgow Green. After the meeting, get acquainted with your group over dinner in Merchant City.

Glasgow to Fort William
After a short walk to the train station, you catch the early morning West Highland Line train, a world-famous railway journey through Scotland's most remarkable landscapes. You arrive in Fort William in the early afternoon with time to explore. Fort William is known for outdoor activities and home to Ben Nevis, the UK's highest mountain. You can optionally join your leader for an afternoon hike up Cow Hill in Glen Nevis with panoramic views (weather dependent). The rest of the day is free to explore local pubs.

Fort William to Isle of Skye
You complete your West Highland Line journey as Ben Nevis greets you at departure. You pass through the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct (known from Harry Potter films) before reaching Mallaig. Then you hop onto a ferry across the sea to the Isle of Skye. Upon arrival, you transfer to a local whiskey distillery for a tour and tasting session, then head to accommodation. Spend the evening free to relax, and optionally join the group leader to sample a dram.

You bid farewell to Skye on a private bus, traveling over the iconic Skye Bridge back to the mainland. You'll enjoy a scenic boat cruise on these mysterious waters and keep an eye out for the elusive Loch Ness Monster. After your boat excursion, you head north to Inverness, the vibrant capital of the Highlands, where you'll stay for two nights.

Inverness
You start the day with a hop on a local bus to nearby Culloden Battlefield on Inverness's outskirts. In April 1746, Bonnie Prince Charlie's Jacobite rebellion came to a bloody end here. The battlefield is fascinating to walk around and has a somber atmosphere. Back in the city center, you take a walk alongside the River Ness on a locals' favorite trail that weaves over small islands, crosses a pedestrian suspension bridge, and finishes near an arts center with castle views. The rest of the day is free. Visit the castle, a whisky store, catch a gig, do shopping, or discover Leakey's bookshop.
