- VTViara· November 26th, 2024Everything was great: visits, transport, restaurants, hotels. The only thing that could get better was the guide, L.W., who was far more interested in food then in culture, and made us spent twice as long time sipping coffee at the Grand Hotel then visiting the National Palace Museum. When I told her: "Please, let's finally go to this museum, only an hour is left now before the closure, and this is labelled a "cultural trip"; she said: "Well, im my view it is not a cultural trip but a trip by train". Disappointing.Show moreCulture Trip commented on this reviewThank you for taking the time to leave your review regarding your recent trip with us. - LWLarry· October 23rd, 2024I am still in Taiwan as I prepare to fly home Lily the guide was great and I kinda missed her guidance and commentary the past couple of days But I did go back to the Museum for a full day session on her inspiration She is a helpful, kind person whose love for her country shines through her presentations.Show moreCulture Trip commented on this reviewThank you so much for your lovely review and the kind words about Lily We appreciate you taking the time to send us this feedback and we cannot wait to welcome you on another trip in the future!Trip date: October 2024
- RKRobert· April 2nd, 2024The trip was great, we had a wide variety of activities / locations, from temples to cooking classes. The trains were good, and Vincent is a knowledgeable and engaging guide. The only criticism would be the quality of the accommodation, and particularly the FX hotels were run down and in need of refreshing (mould in showers, noisy aircon, etc).Show moreCulture Trip commented on this reviewThank you so much for your review! - JWJuliet· March 8th, 2024The basics were in place, everything happened when planned, I.e. meals and transport. The hotels were ok but there was a mix up with checking into the first one in Taiwan which took ages to sort out. The guide was helpful and responsive but I felt she needed more of a script as her English was limited. Overall she did a good job with a difficult group in bad weather. I would not spend so long in Taiwan, 7 days would have been enough.Show moreCulture Trip commented on this reviewThank you for your review following your recent trip with us to Taiwan! Asked on April 27th, 2025Would the lake cycling part of the trip as mentioned in the itinerary be suitable for an older person? And if I was open to sharing accommodation as a solo traveller would I still be charged the single supplement?
- Culture TripOperator•Written April 2025
The cycling is fairly flat and lasts approx. 1 hour. None of our activities are mandatory so if you do not feel up o it on the day you can take additional free time. As a solo traveler you can choose the twin share option which means we will pair you with another same sex traveler, or there is a private room option which has an additional cost. These options will be shown when you select a date and room type for the booking.

Asked on January 21st, 2025Is this tour wheelchair friendly? We have 1 person that will be in a wheelchair and not able to take the bike ride. Are there any other stops which are not wheelchair friendly?
- Culture TripOperator•Written January 2025
The trip involves a fair amount of physical activity and sometimes challenging terrain in the national parks, which might not be suitable for travelers with mobility issues or those who rely on wheelchairs. The requirement to handle luggage through train stations and onto trains also indicates that some assistance may be needed for those who have difficulty with physical tasks. I would not necerserraly concider the trip wheel chair friendly.
