The tour was all-inclusive, which made it even more convenient and hassle-free. Our accommodation, meals, transportation, and activities were all taken care of, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of God's Own Country. The trip started in the bustling city of Cochin, where we were greeted by our friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. He provided us with a brief history of the city and its rich culture, which set the tone for the rest of the trip. One of the highlights of the tour was the backwater cruise in Alleppey. The serene and tranquil atmosphere, surrounded by lush greenery and traditional houseboats, was a sight to behold. We even got to witness the famous snake boat races, which was a thrilling experience. Another must-visit destination in Kerala is Munnar, known for its sprawling tea plantations and breathtaking views. We took a jeep ride through the plantations, stopping at various viewpoints to take in the panoramic scenery. The tea tasting session was also a unique and enjoyable experience. The tour also included visits to historical and cultural sites such as the Mattancherry Palace, St. Francis Church, and the famous Chinese fishing nets. Each location had its own charm and added to the overall experience. The food in Kerala was a highlight in itself. From traditional South Indian dishes to fresh seafood, every meal was a delight for the taste buds. The tour was all-inclusive, which made it hassle-free and allowed me to truly relax and enjoy every moment. The tour started with a warm welcome at the Cochin International Airport and from there, we were taken to our first destination, Munnar. The scenic drive through the lush green hills and tea plantations was a sight to behold. The accommodation in Munnar was a cozy and luxurious resort, which offered a stunning view of the surrounding mountains. The next day, we visited the Eravikulam National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. The park was a nature lover's paradise with its diverse flora and fauna. We also got to experience the breathtaking beauty of the Mattupetty Dam and the Echo Point, where our voices echoed through the hills. The highlight of the tour for me was the houseboat stay in Alleppey. It was a unique experience, cruising through the tranquil backwaters, surrounded by coconut trees and traditional villages. The houseboat was well-equipped and the staff was extremely hospitable, making our stay even more enjoyable. The tour also included a visit to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, where we got to witness various wildlife species in their natural habitat. We also got to experience the traditional martial art form of Kerala, Kalaripayattu, which was a thrilling and cultural experience. The tour concluded with a visit to the picturesque town of Kovalam, known for its beautiful beaches and serene atmosphere. The accommodation at Kovalam was a beach-facing resort, which was the perfect way to end the tour. Overall, the 8 days Exotic Kerala tour was a well-planned and organized trip.
