Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park to Karatu

    You'll leave Arusha early in the morning and head to Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing and bird watching. The park has over 400 bird species, and you might see tree-climbing lions along with elephants. Around midday you'll have a packed lunch at a picnic site. After that, you'll drive up the Rift Valley Wall toward Karatu where you'll have dinner and spend your first night.

  2. Day 2

    Ngorongoro Crater

    Following breakfast, you'll enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend 610m into the crater. This spot is known as one of Africa's best for wildlife viewing, and you'll see black rhinos, wildebeest, buffalo, zebras, and elephants throughout the day. You'll have a packed lunch near the hippo lake, then climb back up out of the crater. By evening you'll return to Eileen Tree Lodge for dinner and your second night.

  3. Day 3

    Tarangire National Park to Arusha

    After breakfast at the lodge, you'll drive to Tarangire National Park, which is known for its high concentration of elephants, distinctive baobab trees, and wildlife like wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, and various antelope species. You'll spend time on a game drive and have a packed lunch at a picnic site inside the park. Later in the day you'll drive back to Arusha before sunset.
