  1. Day 1

    Denver

    You'll meet your transfer at Denver airport and head to your hotel. Later this evening, there's a welcome dinner included as part of your Signature Experience to start things off.

  2. Day 2

    Golden

    Start downtown Denver checking out the Blue Bear sculpture, then walk through historic Larimer Square and see the Colorado State Capitol building. After that, head to Golden for Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, plus the Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave. The afternoon and evening are yours to do whatever you'd like.

  3. Day 3

    Denver to Glenwood Springs

    Board the Rocky Mountaineer this morning in Denver for your two-day train journey. Breakfast comes with the ride as you take in views of the Gross Reservoir dam and climb toward the Continental Divide. Keep watch for canyon views along the Colorado River route. You'll arrive in Glenwood Springs and check into your hotel for the night.

    Glenwood Springs to Moab

    Re-board the Rocky Mountaineer and continue southeast along the Colorado River into Utah. You'll pass through Ruby Canyon's red rock formations, only accessible by train or river. Look for Mount Peale as you cross into Utah. The train reaches Moab by afternoon, and from there you'll spend time exploring Arches National Park with its over 2,000 natural sandstone arches.

    Moab

    Lake Powell

    Board a raft and float the Colorado River starting from Glen Canyon Dam. You'll pass Horseshoe Bend, see Petroglyph Beach with its 5,000-year-old Indigenous Puebloan wall carvings, and take in the soaring cliffs all around you throughout the day.

    Lake Powell to Springdale

    Travel to Bryce Canyon National Park and stop at Horseshoe Bend to see its sheer cliffs and sweeping river valley. At Bryce, you'll see the geological formations including hoodoos, the sandcastle-like pinnacles the park's known for. Later, continue to your lodge in Springdale, located right on the edge of Zion National Park.

    Overall the tour was well.planned and places we visited were beautiful. The accommodation was first class but the quality of the food was poor given the reputation of Fairmont Hotels being exclusive. It was the only disappointing aspect.
