Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Montecatini Terme
You'll arrive at Florence or Pisa Airport and get transferred to your 4-star hotel in Montecatini Terme, a spa town recognized by UNESCO in central Tuscany. Once you check in, the rest of the day is yours to spend however you like. Walk around La Pineta park, check out the Tettuccio, book a spa treatment if that appeals to you, or just relax at the hotel. It's a good chance to settle in and get your bearings.

Florence
After breakfast, take the train to Florence on your own. A guided walking tour takes you through the Renaissance city, starting at Piazza della Repubblica and moving through Loggia del Mercato Nuovo where you'll see the famous Porcellino statue. From there, you'll cross Ponte Vecchio, walk through Piazza degli Uffizi, and reach Piazza della Signoria with Palazzo Vecchio and Loggia dei Lanzi. The tour ends at Piazza San Giovanni where the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Baptistery, and Giotto's Bell Tower are located. Spend the afternoon exploring on your own before heading back by train.

Tuscan Wine and Farmhouse Lunch
After breakfast, your driver picks you up and you head to a traditional farmhouse built in 1963. A guide walks you through the estate explaining how they make wine and olive oil. Then comes a wine tasting paired with a light lunch of appetizers, homemade pasta, cantuccini, vinsanto, and grappa. By afternoon the shuttle brings you back to the hotel where you can rest and relax for the remainder of the day.

Pisa
After breakfast, take the train to Pisa on your own. A guided tour shows you Piazza dei Miracoli, which includes the Cathedral (Romanesque architecture with interior photo opportunities), the famous Leaning Tower, the round Baptistery with its striking colonnaded arches, and the Camposanto, a former cemetery now serving as an extraordinary cloister. Your guide explains the fascinating history of why the Leaning Tower tilts. Return to Montecatini by train once the tour wraps up.

After breakfast and some free time in the morning, an escort meets you early afternoon for the drive to Vinci, Leonardo da Vinci's hometown about 30 minutes away. You'll see his birthplace with a life-size hologram about his life, then walk the medieval town. The Museo Leonardiano inside the Castle of the Conti Guidi houses the world's oldest collection of Leonardo's machines and models plus the Leonardo and Painting exhibition. Stroll through village streets, visit the Church of Santa Croce where Leonardo was baptized, then finish with an aperitif at a vineyard tasting local wines and Tuscan flavors before returning to Montecatini.

Siena, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, and Chianti
After breakfast an escorted full-day tour departs with roundtrip shuttle service through central Tuscany. You'll start in Siena exploring its medieval character, the Gothic Cathedral, and Piazza del Campo, where the historic Palio horse race takes place. Then it's on to Monteriggioni, a perfectly preserved walled village that feels like stepping back in time. Next comes San Gimignano, the Town of Towers with its UNESCO-listed center, artisan shops, and countryside views. Later you'll relax in the Chianti region at a traditional estate for wine tasting and local flavors before heading back to Montecatini in the evening.
