Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu to Pokhara
You'll start early from Kathmandu and spend the next 7 hours or more on a bus heading to Pokhara. The 200 km route winds through hilly settlements, and the road conditions mean you should expect some delays and potential traffic along the way. Despite the long ride, you'll see plenty of nature and farmland passing by your window.

Jomsom - Kagbeni
An early flight gets you from Pokhara to Jomsom, where you can browse for souvenirs and handicrafts before starting your trek. From there you'll head to Kagbeni, passing a monastery and a series of Buddhist Chortens along the route. Once you arrive in Kagbeni, you'll walk through classic alleys and see the Tibetan-inspired culture that shapes the village.

- Day 3
Jharkot
You'll trek on a quieter side route from Kagbeni to Jharkot, passing more Chortens and small monasteries. Prayer flags and Mani walls line the path as you walk through local villages and farm fields. Talking with village elders gives you real insight into how people live in these remote settlements and the traditions they follow.

- Day 4
Muktinath
The trek from Jharkot brings you to Muktinath, a major pilgrimage site where you'll see serene lakes beside the temple with pilgrims bathing and chanting. Inside the temple you'll find 108 stone taps (fed by underground water mixed with natural gas), an eternal flame, and a large golden statue of Lord Vishnu. Hindus consider this place sacred as the site of Mukti (Liberation) after death.

Landmarks Muktinath Temple - Day 5
Lupra
Starting from Muktinath, you'll take the lower route through Ranipauwa toward Lupra. You'll pass a large Shiva Temple and reach the colorful Ranipauwa monastery before crossing a bridge to Dhan La. Continuing west to Lupra, you'll discover a classic Bon settlement with its Bonpo Gompa and see how the Thakali people live with their distinct and humble lifestyles.

Phalyak
This trek follows the middle route from Lupra to Phalyak along the Kaligandaki river. You'll cross several tributaries and a bridge while walking parallel to the Kolungba Khola, which flows from glaciers off Tashikang peak. Phalyak is rarely visited and offers a chance to see Tibetan culture and rituals in a place few outsiders reach.

Jomsom - Dhumba Tal - Thinigaon
From Phalyak you'll trek toward Jomsom on a side route, passing Chortens and prayer flags that show Buddhist influence throughout the landscape. You'll cross a bridge to reach Hadigaon, then continue to Thinigaon. There's an optional side trip to Dhumba Tal lake for about an hour if you want to spend time by the water before returning to Thinigaon.

Chimanggaon
Trekking from Thinigaon to Chimanggaon means walking through incredible stone settlements with alleyways made from flat stone slabs. You'll meet local Chimba people, mostly Buddhist, and local kids will likely ask for photos with you and the mountain backdrop behind them. A visit to the Tibetan Refugee Camp lets you see handmade handicrafts and souvenirs made by locals.

Kalapani
The descent from Chimanggaon to Kalapani follows an off-the-beaten trail with views that improve as you go lower. Snowy peaks of Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri (Blue Ridge) stay visible throughout your descent through rarely visited locations. Once you reach Kalapani, you can walk around the villages and monasteries in the area.

Landmarks Kalapani Dhaulagiri Nilgiri - Day 10
Titi Gaon
You'll trek a short distance from Kalapani to Titi Gaon and then visit Titi Lake nearby, which sits among snowy peaks with turquoise water clear enough to see the bottom. The lake is similar to the Gokyo lakes but with greener, more vivid colors, and the area around it has distinctive insect and bird species. You'll stay in a homestay house overnight.

Larjung
A couple of kilometers of trekking brings you from Titi to Larjung along classic routes. When you arrive, you'll see a welcoming mountain series of Dhaulagiri dominating the landscape. Larjung is one of the least explored natural sites in the Mustang region, with pure and beautiful views of massive hills and rocky cliffs that inspire the local Buddhist people.

Dhaulagiri Icefall
You'll spend the full day at Larjung experiencing the Kaligandaki gorge and Dhaulagiri range views. After a light breakfast, you can head toward the icefall point of Dhaulagiri to see icy structures arranged across the landscape. These locations offer some of the most remarkable scenery you'll encounter during your trek.

Marpha
Trekking from Larjung to Marpha brings you to a village that looks like a rainbow of black stone houses at first glance. Flat stone slabs pave the alleyways and create an interesting atmosphere throughout the settlement. From Marpha, the peak of Nilgiri dominates your view, and you can explore local hamlets and chat with residents.

Jomsom
An early start from Marpha takes you to Jomsom, an ancient and culturally rich village filled with activity and local people throughout the day. You'll find several souvenir stalls and handicraft vendors to browse, and multiple monasteries to visit where you can learn about Tibetan culture from both Bon and Buddhist communities.

Jomsom to Pokhara
You'll catch an early flight from Jomsom back to Pokhara. The rest of the day is yours to explore Pokhara's natural sites and relax after your trek. It's a good chance to recover and experience the city at your own pace.

Pokhara to Kathmandu
The final leg takes you from Pokhara back to Kathmandu on the same scenic bus route you traveled on Day 1. This completes your trek tour, and you'll pass through the same hilly settlements and farmland one more time.
