Quito
You'll arrive in Quito where your guide meets you for an initial briefing about the tour. From the airport, you'll get transferred to your hotel so you can settle in and get oriented.

- Day 2
Quito to Santa Cruz Island
An early flight takes you to the Galapagos, landing at Baltra Island. You'll cross the island by bus, take a ferry across Itabaca Channel, then drive through the highlands to reach Puerto Ayora. At a family ranch, you'll see giant tortoises near small lagoons, and afterward check out the impressive lava tubes carved by ancient molten flows.

- Day 3
Santa Cruz Island
This morning you'll drive to the eastern side of the island and head up to Cerro Mesa Reserve at 490m elevation, where you can take in crater views, see exotic plants, and spot unique finch species. Later, Garrapatero Beach offers mangroves, black lava, white sand, and a flamingo lagoon to explore. You'll finish the day at El Trapiche Ecologico farm learning how they make sugar cane liqueur and process coffee.

- Day 4
Santa Cruz Island
Start at the Charles Darwin Research Station in Puerto Ayora, walking through exhibition halls and native gardens to learn about marine and terrestrial research. Then bike to Tortuga Bay, an isolated white-sand beach with two distinct areas, one for surfing and one for swimming and snorkeling. You'll spot reef fish, pelagic fish, sea turtles, and sally light foot crabs. Renting a kayak lets you explore further or you can just relax on the beach.

After breakfast, the full day is yours to spend however you like on Santa Cruz. You can discover the island at your own pace and focus on whatever interests you most.

- Day 6
Santa Cruz Island to Quito
Before catching your flight back to Quito at Baltra Airport, you'll stop at Los Gemelos (the Twins), two massive sinkholes created by collapsed lava tunnels. The largest sinkhole reaches 2,300 feet deep and nearly 1,300 feet wide. From there you'll fly to Quito and transfer to your hotel.

- Day 7
Quito Airport Departure
You'll have breakfast, then head to Quito Airport for your flight home. The tour ends with a final airport drop-off to complete your journey.
