Asked on March 24th, 2025How can I check the availability for family tours?
- The Dragon TripOperator•Written March 2025
You can look for our family tour options, which are specifically designed for families with children.

Asked on March 10th, 2025Can I check into accommodation at the end of the day (after 6pm?) Thank you.
- The Dragon TripOperator•Written March 2025
The standard accommodation we use is Hotel Sunlite Shinjuku where you can check in between 15:00 to 00:00.

Tanya
Traveler•Written March 2025Do you have the information for the other hostels (if there is any)? I am currently organising activities for any free time I get, including free days. Some of my activites have drop off facilities.

Tanya
Traveler•Written March 2025May be slightly off-topic, but do you have any knowledge on booking the more popular activities: - Hana Biyori Flower Park - DisneySea - TeamLab Digital Art Museum - Ghibi Park. The reason I ask is because I cannot purchase tickets for any of the above attractions and do not want to miss out. I'm assuming they have a limited time for advanced bookings (up to 2 months in advance). Any help is much appreciated.

Traveler•Written March 2025Is it still possible to do an introduction later in the trip? I'd like to use this day to see Mt. Fuji if possible. There may be more, but I have another question regarding the rail system of Japan and what passes you need. From what I know, there is two different passes - 1 for JR Rail and 1 for the Shinkansen. I am unsure how they work and what I need for certain areas, especially Tokyo.
- The Dragon TripOperator•Written March 2025
You can join the trip on Day 2 at a later time. However, as this is a group departure, we cannot postpone any activities and you would miss out on any parts of the trip before your arrival. Would you consider adding an extra day on either side of the trip to include a day trip to Mt Fuji? If you are going to be staying in Tokyo for most of your time, it does not make sense to get the JR pass and it's easier to get individual tickets for your time there. For Tokyo - you will have prepaid travel cards for the activities on the tour. You can also buy prepaid Pasmo cards for your time there.

Tanya
Traveler•Written March 2025If I was to book Mount Fuji (which would finish at around 6pm of Day 1) I would only miss the briefing and introduction. Is the briefing an introduction important? So, it is better to get prepaid cards for the rail system in Japan?

Asked on February 15th, 2025I will be 61 yrs old so please tell me that will still be ok
- The Dragon TripOperator•Written February 2025
As this is slightly over our usual age bracket, we'd ask if you could complete our Tour Suitability Form first. This helps us understand if your preferences align with the tour dynamic and group.

- The Dragon TripOperator•Written October 2024

Traveler•Written October 2024If my mind change and cancel this tour, can I get this 10% deposit back?
- The Dragon TripOperator•Written October 2024
The deposit is not refundable. However, you can change your tour up to 70 days before the departure. So you could apply it to a different Dragon Trip tour

Asked on February 23rd, 2024What is the arrival airport code? Also can a 14 year old boy do this trip?
- The Dragon TripOperator•Written February 2024
The international flights to and from Japan are not included. You can choose to fly into either of Tokyo's international airports - Haneda (HND) or Narita (NRT). The tour price includes stays hostel dorm rooms which have a minimum age policy of 18. However, we could arrange a private twin room for an additional £150 (approx $190).

Traveler•Written February 2024I have 1 son who turns 18 and would love this trip for his birthday but his brother will only be 14. It would be a family of 4, mother, father and 2 sons. The tour looks great but the time of the year doesn't correspond with their school calendar. There is no tour in February or April?
- The Dragon TripOperator•Written February 2024
We will be releasing 2025 dates for our Japan Family tour by the end of the next week and there should be a departure around 4th - 11th of April.
