Delhi
You'll arrive in Delhi whenever your flight lands and head to your hotel in the Karol Bagh area. The rest of the day is yours to relax after traveling, or if you're feeling up to it, wander through the lively Karol Bagh market right nearby. The choice is completely yours on how to spend the time.

Delhi
After breakfast, a guide takes you through historic Old Delhi to see the Red Fort and Jama Masjid, both built by Emperor Shah Jahan centuries ago. From there you'll head into New Delhi where you'll stop at Rashtrapati Bhawan, India Gate, Humayun's Tomb, and Qutub Minar. It's a full day of sightseeing covering several centuries of history.

Delhi to Amritsar
You'll catch a train to Amritsar early in the morning. Once you arrive, head straight to the Golden Temple, the holiest site in Sikhism with its distinctive dome plated in over 700kg of pure gold. Spend time around the serene waters surrounding the main shrine and take in the spiritual feeling of the place.

- Day 4
Amritsar
This morning you'll visit Jalianwala Bagh, the historical site where a tragic massacre happened in 1919. Then go to the Golden Temple where you'll remove your shoes, cover your head, and wash your feet before entering. You can sit in the calm atmosphere and watch the continuous recital from the Guru Granth Sahib. After lunch, head to Wagah Border to see the Flag Down ceremony between India and Pakistan.

Amritsar to Dharamshala
The drive from Amritsar to Dharamshala takes about 6 to 7 hours through changing landscapes. After checking into your hotel, there's an optional orientation walk around McLeod Ganj, where the Tibetan government in exile is located and the Dalai Lama lives. You can also choose to tour the Norbulingka Institute if you want to see gardens dedicated to preserving Tibetan culture.

Dharamshala
You have free time today to explore Dharamshala however you like. The Kangra Art Museum in the Kotwali bazaar is good if you're interested in learning about local art and history. Dharamshala to Shimla
Today involves a long drive through the Himalayan hills as you travel to Shimla, which was the summer capital during the British Raj period. The scenery changes throughout the journey as you gain elevation. Once you arrive and settle into your hotel, the evening is free for you to rest or do whatever you like.

Shimla
You'll take an orientation walk along The Ridge and The Mall, two popular spots in this former British summer capital. There's an option to visit the Viceregal Lodge if that interests you, and you can walk around town to see the various heritage buildings with their neo-Gothic and Tudor-style architecture from the colonial era.

Shimla to Delhi
This morning you board the toy train from Shimla to Kalka, a World Heritage-listed route that takes about 3 hours and goes through tunnels and mountain passes with great views. At Kalka station you transfer to the Shatabdi Express heading back to Delhi with dinner included on the train. You'll arrive in Delhi and transfer to your hotel for the night.

Delhi to Agra
Board the Gatiman Express, India's fastest train, in the morning for the trip to Agra. Once there, a guide takes you through the Taj Mahal, built by Emperor Shah Jahan for his wife Mumtaz with intricate marble inlay work. You'll also see Agra Fort, which Emperor Akbar built and Shah Jahan later expanded. If time allows, you can visit the Baby Taj as well.

Jaipur
Today focuses on Jaipur's cultural sites. Start with the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds), a distinctive red and pink sandstone structure with 935 windows across its 5 stories. Visit the Amber Fort overlooking Maotha Lake with white marble and red sandstone, including the Sheesh Mahal inside. Also tour the Jantar Mantar observatory and the City Palace, which blends Mughal and Rajasthani design styles.

Udaipur

This is a free day to rest and explore Udaipur on your terms. Later tonight, board a train heading to Bundi for the next portion of your trip.

Bundi
Bundi is one of India's lesser-known cities with significant historical importance, surrounded by Aravalli hills and enclosed by massive walls. Explore the intricate stepwells including Naval Sagar and Sisodiaji ki Baori, which show craftsmanship spanning three centuries. Later head to the railway station to board an overnight train to Mumbai.

In Goa you'll find Portuguese colonial heritage with churches, monasteries, and old houses throughout. Learn how Goa was historically important for East-West trade in pearls, coral, silks, spices, and jewels. You'll notice Portuguese influence in the religion, siesta culture, and local food like pork vindaloo.

Goa
Take it easy this morning and meet up in the afternoon for a walking tour of Panjim.
