Asked on October 6th, 2023Does your company offer flyovers for seeing all of Milford Sound, or are you able to arrange one? I get very seasick even on VERY small waves (as small as 4”. Seriously). I would not expect to have a monetary credit for substituting it for the cruise.
AAT KingsOperator•Written October 2023We normally offer a Milford Sound flight back to Queenstown as an optional experience that is booked and paid for while on tour. Optional Experience: Air Milford - Milford Sound Flight Back To Queenstown - A scenic flight from Milford Sound to return back to Queenstown. During the 35 minute flight take in panoramic views of spectacular scenery including glaciers, rivers, lakes and rainforest. Return transport to Queenstown accommodation is included. Adult: 469.00 NZD. Optional experiences are 3rd party operated and are subject to availability, so if this is something that you definitely want, it may be best to book it on your own ahead of time.

The group departs Queenstown at 0700 to drive to Milford. The cruise is 1 hour 45 min and it is very rare for it to be rough. After the cruise there is an opportunity to fly back to ZQN. If guests want to do the fly over to Queenstown, they can go whatever time suits them. Please note that it is very weather dependent and often does not operate.
