Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival to Plettenberg Bay
Your guide and driver from Across Africa Tours and Travels will meet you when you arrive in South Africa. From there, you'll head east along the Garden Route toward the Indian Ocean. The drive takes you past rugged cliffs, dramatic shorelines, quiet beaches, and thick forests as you make your way to Plettenberg Bay. It's a good chance to settle in and get a feel for the coastline.

Plettenberg Bay to Addo Elephant Park
Today you'll drive along the Indian Ocean coast, passing through Tsitsikamma National Park on your way to Addo Elephant Park in the Eastern Cape. Your first game drive starts at 3:00 PM, and you'll look for the Big 5: lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and buffalo. When evening comes, there's a bush dinner by a campfire under the stars, followed by a night game drive to see what comes out after dark.

Landmarks/POIs Tsitsikamma National Park Addo Elephant Park - Day 3
Addo Elephant Park
You'll spend the full day at Addo Elephant Park, which was created in 1931 to save elephants from extinction. The park covers 120,000 hectares and is home to over 350 elephants, around 280 Cape buffalo, black rhinos, different antelope species, and the flightless dung beetle. You'll get close looks at the wildlife throughout the day, then head back to Tsitsikamma for dinner and the night.

Tsitsikamma to Mossel Bay
This morning you continue along the coast with a stop at Tsitsikamma National Park. You can walk across the suspension bridge and see the thick green forests and ocean waters up close. There's also the option to try the Storm River Bloukrans Bungee jump if you're into that sort of thing, it's 216 meters (709 feet) high above the river. After that, you'll travel on to Mossel Bay.

Mossel Bay to Cape Town
You'll drive from the Indian Ocean toward the Atlantic today, heading to Cape Town and seeing more of South Africa's landscape and mountains along the way. The day has room for optional activities, so you can pick something active or keep things relaxed depending on what you prefer. You should arrive in Cape Town between 12:00 and 18:00 for drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
