Lunch happens at a local restaurant, then you'll head to the station for an overnight train to Sapa.

Lao Cai to Sapa
You arrive at Lao Cai station and head into Sapa for breakfast. Then it's a trek through Cat Cat village with a local guide to see how the Black H'mong people live, plus a stop at a French-built hydraulic power station down in the valley. After lunch, you'll check in at your hotel and have free time to walk around Sapa town or go up to Fansipan Peak.

Lunch at a local restaurant, then back to Sapa for free time before an evening transfer to Lao Cai for another overnight train to Hanoi.

You'll cycle through a village, climb 500 steps at Mua Cave for views, and get back to Hanoi by evening.

Hanoi to Halong Bay
Breakfast at your hotel, then you're off to Halong Bay. You'll board a 3-star cruise for check-in and a briefing. Lunch comes while cruising and checking out the rock formations, followed by Sung Sot Cave and Titop/Soi Sim Island for swimming or the viewpoint. Later you'll do a sunset party, cooking class, and activities like squid fishing or karaoke before dinner with bay views.

You'll tour Khai Dinh Tomb which mixes Eastern and Western architecture, have lunch with Hue cuisine, explore the imperial city palace of the 13 Nguyen Kings including Ngo Mon Gate and Thai Hoa Palace, visit Thien Mu Pagoda, then return to Da Nang or Hoi An.

You transfer to Cam Thanh fishing village to meet local fishermen and experience their daily life. You'll try hands-on round net and cast net fishing, learn to paddle Vietnamese bamboo basket boats and race them. A stop at a local family business shows how they make coconut fudges and crispy rice popcorn with fresh fruit and traditional folk music. Lunch includes 7 local dishes, then you travel to My Son Sanctuary (UNESCO World Heritage Site) to explore and catch Champa performances. The day finishes with a sunset boat trip on Thu Bon River back to Hoi An.

Ho Chi Minh City
After breakfast, you'll visit Independence Palace (Reunification Palace) designed by architect Ngo Viet Thu, then see French Colonial structures like Notre Dame Cathedral and Central Post Office. The War Remnants Museum comes next with its collection from the Indochina wars. Then about 1.5 hours by bus gets you to Cu Chi Tunnel where you'll see the complex tunnel system with living areas, kitchens, hospitals, and secret traps. You'll try special tea and cassava (guerilla food from wartime) and have an option to try real shooting.
