Agatha
You'll arrive in Agatha, a scenic suburb of Bad Goisern right on Lake Hallstatt. Getting there is flexible - drive your own car or take public transport at your own pace. If your arrival time works out early, the Handwerkshaus in Bad Goisern is worth stopping by to see traditional craftsmanship demonstrations. Once you settle in at the hotel, you'll pick up your travel documents there.

Lake Hallstatt - Hallstatt
This is a cycling day along the eastern shore of Lake Hallstatt with views of the Dachstein mountains and glacier throughout. The route takes you through Obertraun where you have the option to detour into either the Dachstein Ice Cave or Mammut Cave if you're interested. Keep cycling to Hallstatt itself to wander through its narrow streets and see the historic houses that reflect its cultural heritage from the Hallstatt period. After exploring, you'll head back to Agatha for the night.

Lake Hallstatt - Canoe Tour
You're doing a guided half-day canoe tour on the calm waters of Lake Hallstatt. After getting a brief introduction to paddling technique, you'll paddle around quiet shores, explore sandbanks, and check out peninsula areas. The Dachstein massif looks completely different from the water, and there's a good chance you'll spot some wildlife along the way during your time on the lake.

Gosau - Forest Adventure Park
Spend the day at Gosau forest adventure park in the Hintertal valley. There are 7 different courses with 73 exercises total that combine forest knowledge, physical activity, and nature awareness. You'll work through low and high ropes courses designed for families with modern safety equipment throughout. An introduction gets you started before you begin.

Bad Goisern - Goisererh\u00fctte
You're hiking from Bad Goisern along forest roads heading to Goisererhutte mountain hut, which sits at about 1,600 meters elevation. Along the way, you'll pass through several alpine meadows and come across Kalmoos church, a hidden gem that's actually built into a rocky cave. The hike ends at the mountain hut where you'll stay overnight in the dormitory.

Goisererh\u00fctte - Bad Goisern
Today you're heading back down from Goisererhutte to Bad Goisern by retracing yesterday's hiking route. You'll go back through the alpine meadows and past Kalmoos church again, descending via the same forest roads that brought you up.

Landmarks Hoher Kalmberg Kalmoos Church - Day 7
Obertraun - Koppenbr\u00fcller Cave
You'll explore Koppenbroller Cave, one of the few active caves still in the Dachstein region and part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site core zone. To get there, you'll walk along the wild and romantic Traun river. Inside the cave, there are impressive underground waterways and formations to see. The cave got its name from the loud roaring sound the water makes, which is especially intense during spring when water levels are higher.

Agatha - Departure
Your trip ends this morning with your departure. If you want to extend your stay, the Salt Worlds in Hallstatt is available as an optional visit. There you can explore salt production sites that have been in use for over 7,000 years and learn about the Hallstatt period itself.
