Met some lovely people in the 3 counties, and really got the feel of the counties more than a tourist. Probably due to the wonderful guides we had on the tours and the local hotels we stayed at. Though don’t expect 5 star hotels to be at the standard of international 5 star hotels but they all had their charm. A few of the tour guides were hard to understand, but we managed somehow. Others had a fantastic command of English and we learned so much. To our pleasant surprise nearly half of our tours were private and we were the only ones on the trip! The program was well balanced and we did cruises, small boat trips, cycling, hiking and saw some wonderful places. Unforgettable trip !
