Germany to Singapore
You'll board your international flight from Germany to Singapore, traveling through Qatar Airways and Air Niugini in Economy Class. This is the beginning of your journey to Papua New Guinea, so settle in for a long day of travel.
- Day 2
Singapore to Port Moresby
After arriving in Singapore, you'll continue onward to Papua New Guinea. Your destination is Port Moresby, which means you're heading toward the island of New Guinea as part of this leg of the trip.
- Day 3
Port Moresby to Wewak
You'll touch down early morning in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea's capital and main commercial hub. Someone will meet you at the airport, then you'll fly on to Wewak in the Sepik region where your river exploration begins. The afternoon is yours to rest and get settled.

Wewak to Kanganamun
A charter bus takes you to Pagwi on the Sepik River, and from there you'll travel by motorized canoe through branching river channels toward Kanganamun village. You'll meet the famous crocodile men, Papuans with distinctive crocodile-shaped scar patterns who hold important status in their communities.

- Days 5 - 6
Sepik River villages exploration
You're spending two full days along the Sepik River learning directly from villagers. They'll show you how sago starch gets extracted, demonstrate traditional fishing methods, and you'll watch impressive artistic dance performances. The carved works, body ornaments, and spirit houses here are remarkable, and you'll encounter men from the Yatmul people while navigating the river channels and soaking in the jungle atmosphere.

Pagwi to Mount Hagen
Your motorized canoe brings you back to Pagwi, then you'll transfer to Wewak for a late lunch. After eating, you fly across the central mountain range to Mount Hagen, the highlands' center. At the town market, you'll notice the temperature is fresher and less humid than what you experienced in the Sepik Plain.

Mount Hagen to Kagai
Morning starts with visiting the Asaro Mud Men, then you'll drive into Simbu province through highland terrain. Along the way you'll encounter various cultural moments and meet local people. Later, you reach Kagai village where the surrounding mountain views give you a real sense of the highlands' scale.

Kagai

Kumul Lodge to Tambul

Tambul to Tari

Tari
This day focuses on daily highland Papuan life in Tari. The Huli people are fierce warriors, and you'll see them perform elaborate dances with yellow faces, drums, and distinctive wigs. Your guide will help you understand the complexities of highland living and how Huli society is organized.

Tari

Port Moresby to Singapore
