From there, you have up to 8 miles to walk and explore, taking in dramatic cliffs, sea stacks, and tidal pools along the shoreline. Your guide will set up lunch on the beach so you can eat with that coastal backdrop. On the drive back, you'll stop at the Makah Museum to learn about the area's history, then finish with dinner at a restaurant your guide has chosen specifically for this trip.

Along the way, keep an eye out for elk, deer, bears, and bald eagles moving through the moss-covered trees and dense plant life. Your guide will serve a gourmet lunch while you're on the trail so you can refuel without leaving the forest. A late picnic lunch overlooking the Pacific gives you a chance to rest and enjoy the ocean views. You'll return to the lodge afterward, and before dinner, a short rainforest walk to Sol Duc Falls lets you stretch your legs and see the waterfall before heading back for the evening.
