Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu to Pokhara
Your journey begins with a transfer from Kathmandu to Pokhara, which takes you out of the capital and sets up your arrival for the trek. This is mainly a travel day to get you into position before heading into the mountains.

Landmarks Kathmandu Pokhara - Day 2
Phedi to Deurali
After arriving in Pokhara, you'll drive about 40 minutes to Phedi where the actual trekking starts. From there, you head uphill through Dhampus village and continue gradually toward Pothana, then on to Deurali at 2200m/7218 feet. It's an easy first day on the trail, roughly 3 to 4 hours of walking total, and you'll end up at a tea house lodge where you can rest and adjust.

Deurali to Low Camp
This day takes you off the main Annapurna route into more remote territory. You'll trek through thick forest with oak, maple, hemlock, and rhododendron as you head toward Forest Camp at Kokar, where you'll stop for lunch. After eating, the trail keeps climbing and the vegetation shifts around you as you work your way up to Low Camp at 2900m/9514 feet. Plan for about 7 hours of walking, so it's a fuller day on your feet.

Low Camp to High Camp
Early on, you'll climb through rhododendron forest heading toward Middle Camp, then push on to Badal Danda where the views really open up and you'll break out above the tree line. From there, the trail follows the Mardi Himal ridge across grass with occasional rhododendron bushes scattered about until you reach High Camp at 3585m/11761 feet. Expect 5 to 6 hours of trekking as you gain elevation and get closer to your objective.

- Day 5
High Camp to Mardi Himal Base Camp and return to Middle Camp
Get up early to catch the sunrise over the mountains from High Camp, then after breakfast you'll walk up the ridge toward Mardi Himal Base Camp at 4500m/14764 feet. The trail crosses grass with a couple of steeper pitches along the way, and you might spot dzokpo (yak and cow crossbreds) or Danphe pheasants. From Base Camp, the views stretch into the Annapurna Sanctuary showing you Annapurna's south face and the other sanctuary peaks. After taking in the scenery, you'll head back down to High Camp for lunch, then continue down to either Middle Camp or Low Camp depending on your pace.

- Day 6
Low Camp to Siding
Rather than retracing your steps, you'll take a different route down from Low Camp to complete a circuit, heading toward Siding village at 1750m/5741 feet. This 6 hour descent takes you through traditional Nepalese villages and farmland. You'll likely stay in a homestay in Siding connected to the Low Camp lodge, which gives you real insight into local life, and you'll eat dhal baht with the family right in their kitchen.

Landmarks Siding - Day 7
Siding to Lumre to Pokhara
From Siding, you trek for about 3 hours down to the road head at Lumre, passing through Kalimati and Ghalel villages along the way. Once you reach Lumre, your jeep from Wilderness Excursion will be waiting to pick you up for the 2 hour drive back to Pokhara, finishing your trekking section and heading toward your final destination.

Pokhara to Kathmandu
Your last day involves the return transfer from Pokhara back to Kathmandu, bringing your trek to a close and completing the full journey.
