Arrival in Cairo
Your representative meets you at the airport with a sign and takes you by private air-conditioned vehicle to the hotel. Check-in starts at 14:00, though if you arrive early you can wait in the lobby or add an extra night for immediate access to your room.

Luxor: Valley of the Kings & Hatshepsut Temple
After breakfast at your Luxor hotel, your guide heads out with you to the West Bank. You'll walk through the Valley of the Kings where around 60 royal tombs from 1539-1075 BC sit carved into rock, including King Tutankhamun's tomb that Howard Carter found in 1922. Next comes Hatshepsut Temple at El Deir El Bahary, built for Egypt's only female pharaoh with its distinctive terraced design rising from the desert floor. The day finishes at the Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III that are roughly 3,400 years old.

Luxor: Karnak Temple & Luxor Temple
You'll have breakfast at your hotel, then meet your guide for a full day exploring Luxor's temple sites. Karnak Temple comes first, the largest temple complex ever built covering 100 hectares and originally called 'The Most Select of Places,' built over many generations by different rulers. From there you move to Luxor Temple, started by Amunhotep III during the 18th Dynasty and finished by Ramesses II in the 19th Dynasty. The temple was dedicated to Amun-Ra, Mut, and Khonsu, and you'll see the Obelisk of Ramses II while learning how this sacred site transitioned through pagan, Christian, and Islamic periods.

Departure from Luxor
