  1. Day 1

    Landeck

    You'll arrive in Landeck and head to Hotel Mozart to check in. After settling your bags, take some time to relax before heading down for dinner at the hotel restaurant. This gives you a chance to meet any other guests and get oriented for the castle trail adventure ahead.

  2. Day 2

    Landeck

    Start with a hike from Landeck valley through Trams and Steinwiese, passing by Schwaighof farm on the way to Biedenegg Castle. You'll get good views of the Kaunertal and Lechtal Alps along the route. After that, head to the archaeological museum in Fliess to see local finds. For the return, you can either hike back along the old Roman Via Claudia Augusta or take the public bus depending on your energy level.

    Landeck

    This day takes you to Weiherböden biotope where you might spot rare dragonflies if conditions are right. Continue hiking to Tobadill and Wiesberg Castle, which sits on rocks above the Trisanna river. You'll also check out Austria's oldest hydroelectric power station and the Arlberg railroad bridge before driving back to the hotel.

    Take the bus to Pians and then hike through the Quadratsch district with its terraced landscape toward Grins and Stanz, known as Europe's largest distillery village. Stop at Schrofenstein Castle ruins to take in views over the valleys below. Later, descend to Zams and explore the Zammer Lochputz gorge before heading back.

From there, hike along the ridge heading toward Venet, then descend past Meranz Alm across alpine meadows to Grist. The hike concludes near your accommodation close to the Kronburg pilgrimage site.
