Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Arrival in Bangkok

    Land at Bangkok airport and head through immigration to collect your luggage. Your airport assistant will meet you at exit B, door 3, and drive you to the hotel. You'll get a call to confirm the details and schedule your first meeting with the tour team.

  2. Day 2

    Bangkok

    After breakfast at the hotel, your guide meets you at reception and you'll hop into a tuk tuk at 10:00 to see Bangkok's royal landmarks. The morning covers the Royal Palace and then Wat Pho with its massive Reclining Buddha. You'll grab lunch somewhere local, then cross the river to check out Wat Arun before heading back to the hotel by evening.

  3. Day 3

    Bangkok to Kanchanaburi

    Finish breakfast and meet your guide for the drive west to Kanchanaburi (about 128 km, so plan for roughly 2 hours). Once there you'll walk through the Thailand-Burma Railway Centre museum, see the War Cemetery, and cross the Bridge over the River Kwai. After lunch, there's the Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre with its memorial trail. Later in the evening you'll take a long-tail boat to The Floathouse River Kwai for dinner and stay the night.

  4. Day 4

    Kanchanaburi to Bangkok

    Start early with a long-tail boat heading to the Mon tribal village to see the Golden Rock, a Buddha image cave, and the local school. A jungle walk along the river gives you some nice views. You'll return to The Floathouse, check out at 11:00, and have lunch. Then comes the historic Death Railway Train ride at 1:00 over the original wooden viaducts built by Allied POWs. You'll be back in Bangkok by 6:00 for transfer to your hotel.

  5. Day 5

    Bangkok to Surat Thani

    Have breakfast, then your driver will pick you up to head to the airport at your scheduled time. You'll fly to Surat Thani, collect your bags, and meet your driver holding a sign with your name. The drive takes you to Khanom where you'll check into your hotel for the night.

  6. Day 6

    Khanom (Free Day)

    After breakfast, the whole day is yours to spend however you like. There are fitness classes, yoga sessions, and plenty of pool and beach time available. Most activities cost extra, so it's a chance to pick what actually interests you or just rest if that's what you need.

  7. Day 7

    Khanom (Free Day)

    Another free day at the resort after breakfast. Same options as yesterday - fitness classes, yoga, relaxing by the pool or beach. The activities that require payment give you choices, or you can simply take it easy.

  8. Day 8

    Khanom (Free Day)

    Once again, breakfast is followed by a free day to use the resort however you like. Fitness sessions and yoga are there if you want them, and the beach and pool are always open. It's your call what to do with the time.

  9. Day 9

    Khanom (Free Day)

  10. Day 10

    Pink Dolphin Boat Tour

    After breakfast at 9:00, you'll head to the port and board a boat for a pink dolphin sighting tour. You'll have lunch on the water and then return to the hotel to stay another night.

  11. Day 11

    Cheow Lan Lake

    After breakfast at 9:00, the day starts with a drive to Cheow Lan Lake in Khao Sok National Park where you'll handle check-in. At 11:30 you'll board a boat across the water, arriving at The Greenery Panvaree floating resort by 12:30. After checking in and having lunch, you can spend the afternoon swimming, kayaking, or just taking it easy. At 5:00 there's a sightseeing boat trip, then dinner and overnight on the resort.

    Cheow Lan Lake

    Start early at 6:30 with a boat trip to see the lake when mist is still hanging over it. Breakfast comes at 7:30, then you have free time at the resort. Lunch is at 1:00, after which you head to Prakarang coral cave for an adventure. A jungle trek takes you to an emerald lagoon, and then you'll ride a bamboo boat through Prakarang cave past its stalagmites while watching for wildlife and rare plants. Back at the resort by 6:30 for dinner and overnight.

    Cheow Lan Lake to Bangkok

    Start the morning at 8:00 with breakfast while watching the mist over the water. Check out at 9:30 and board a long-tail boat for a scenic ride back across the reservoir with great views all around. Once you reach the pier, a vehicle takes you to the airport. Fly back to Bangkok, collect your bags, and look for your driver at door 3 (Suvarnabumi) or the exit (Dom Muang) for transfer to your hotel.

  14. Day 14

    Departure from Bangkok

    Our tour guide was nice but apparently there was no communication between him and the people doing the planning. he did not know which hotel we were staying at (I had to tell him) and he did not know we were doing the elephants the next day. however he was very nice. There just needs to be better inter-office communication
