- PBPatrice· January 17th, 2023It was nice to see & do a variety of things around Bali. A recommendation would be to have guides who are comfortable with the locations we visit. For the elephant day, Micha was scared of the elephants and did not take many photos. The elephant experience was something I looked forward to the most, especially on my birthday (yes the tour knew it was a special day for me). Even the elephant staff tried to encourage her to take more photos, as she jumped away & screamed each time the elephant barely moved. For Nusa Perida (day 2), Widiana was great & took lots of photos. He also told me some history about the island and the different locations we visited. On day 3, I only got a handful of photos at the monkey forest, because Micha did not want to walk with me all the way through the forest & spent time taking photos of the monkeys for herself. This was actually the second time I had to walk alone, as she didn't want to walk on day 1 at the Campuhan ridge walk because it was "so hot". [So glad I paid the extra solo supplement for a photo focused tour to only get half of the photos I could have...]. The last day at least had a good variety of locations and is a nice way to end, especially experiencing the Tirta Empul temple & Kanto Lampo waterfall. Cons: 1) This tour is not a good value for solo travelers. The daily itinerary could easily be booked with other companies for significantly less and probably a better experience. 2) The vehicle used on day 2 to take me to the port for the speed boat ride was infested with roaches. I understand different countries have different standards, but it was disappointing to pay this much & receive this level of service. 3) Arrived back at the hotel much later (approx 1.5 hrs.) than stated in the itinerary every night, even when on schedule. Traffic is unpredictable, but it would be good to warn future travelers about this, so they don't use the provided expected arrival time to make dinner reservations, other plans, etc. Pros: 1) Friendly staff. 2) Nice accommodation (Maison at C) close to restaurants and the beach. 3) Overall good itinerary.Show more
