Itinerary
- Day 1
Uros - Amantani
Hotel pickup starts around 8am in Puno, then you'll head to the port and board a boat. Your guide talks through Lake Titicaca's key features during the 30-minute trip to Uros, the floating islands where you'll visit the island community and learn how locals live traditionally. After that, you'll travel by boat for roughly 3 hours to Amantani Island. Local families greet you as their guests. The afternoon is open for exploring on your own or spending time with your host family. Before the sun sets, there's a short walk out to Pachatata archaeological site where you get nice views, then you head back for dinner with the family. In the evening, there's a folklore festival where you put on traditional clothing and dance with the locals.

- Day 2
Amantani to Taquile to Puno
After breakfast with your host family, you walk down to the dock and take the boat to Taquile Island, which takes about an hour. Taquile is recognized for handmade textiles, so you'll watch locals making ponchos, belts, gloves, and other traditional Andean pieces. A scenic trail takes you toward the top of the island with great views of the lake. The altitude sits around 3800 masl, so the walk takes time. Lunch happens at a local restaurant near the town square, and then you have free time to check out fabric workshops and chat with islanders for photos. Later, you make your way back down to the harbor, get on the boat back to Puno, and arrive around 5pm.
