Itinerary
- Day 1
Vancouver
Start your day at Canada Place, where you'll get a feel for Vancouver's waterfront right away. After that, head to Gastown to see the famous Steam Clock and walk through the historic cobblestone streets. You'll grab lunch or coffee somewhere along Robson Street while checking out the shops, then make your way to the Vancouver Seawall for a scenic stroll. Next stop is Granville Island's Public Market, where you can browse local goods and art galleries. Later, pass by the Lions Gate Bridge and swing through Chinatown before spending the afternoon in Stanley Park. You'll walk the Seawall there, see the totem poles, climb up to Prospect Point Lookout, and check out the 700-year-old Hollow Tree and Brockton Point Lighthouse. If you've got energy left, there are options to head up Grouse Mountain or visit Capilano Suspension Bridge Park (85°F/29°C typical).

- Day 2
Tsawwassen to Victoria
Take the ferry across to Vancouver Island and land in Victoria. Your first major stop is Butchart Gardens, where 22 hectares of seasonal flowers and landscaping spread across the property. You'll spend a good chunk of time here since there's a lot to see. From there, head to Craigdarroch Castle for a tour through the Victorian-era rooms and architecture. Later in the afternoon, walk around Victoria's Inner Harbour where restaurants and shops line the waterfront, and you'll see the iconic Empress Hotel overlooking everything. Check out the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia nearby, then wander through Fisherman's Wharf to catch some local character. Before wrapping up, pass by Victoria's historic Chinatown and the Victoria Cenotaph war memorial (70°F/21°C typical).

- Day 3
Sea to Sky Highway to Whistler
Drive the Sea to Sky Highway along Howe Sound, where an ocean fjord runs beside the road, and you'll pass through Squamish. Stop at Porteau Cove Provincial Park on the southernmost fjord in North America, then head to Shannon Falls, which is BC's 3rd highest waterfall and well worth seeing. You'll continue on to the historic mining village of Britannia Beach to get a sense of the area's past. Later, roll into Whistler Village in the mountain resort area. Explore the village itself, check out Whistler Olympic Plaza from the 2010 Winter Games, and if time allows, see Brandywine Falls, a 70-metre waterfall nearby. If you've got interest, Whytecliff Park offers hiking trails and beach access to round out the day (65°F/18°C typical).
