Itinerary
- Day 1
Tsawassen to Victoria
Your journey begins with a scenic two-hour ferry crossing the Georgia Strait through the inner islands before arriving in Victoria. From there, you'll head to Butchart Gardens, a 55-acre property that's been landscaped for over 100 years and offers plenty of ground to cover. Afterward, walk around Victoria's Inner Harbour where you'll see the Fairmont Empress Hotel and Parliament Buildings, both designed by the same architect in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Stop by Fishermen's Wharf to browse the shops and grab something to eat, then check into your hotel for the evening.

- Day 2
Victoria to Tofino
This is a full driving day up Vancouver Island toward Tofino through the Pacific Rim region. Start with Hatley Castle in Colwood, which features Scottish baronial and Arts and Crafts architecture, then move to the Malahat SkyWalk where you'll walk 600m through an arbutus forest and climb a 32m spiral ramp with views of Finlayson Arm, the Saanich Peninsula, Mount Baker, and the Coast Mountains. In Duncan, called the 'City of Totems,' take the free self-guided walking tour to see 44 hand-carved totem poles. Pass through Nanaimo's Old City Quarter and stop for lunch in Coombs at the Old Country Market, which has a live goat herd on the roof. Later, walk the 4.4km Wild Pacific Trail in Ucluelet along the rocky coast, then finish in Tofino for dinner at a seaside patio and settle into your hotel.

- Day 3
Tofino
You'll wake up in Tofino with the ocean right there and have the entire day to yourself. Watch the sunrise if you're up early, then spend the day however you'd like since there are no scheduled events. This is your chance to explore at your own pace, whether that means walking the beaches, checking out local shops, or just relaxing.

Landmarks Tofino - Day 4
Tofino to Mainland
After breakfast, you'll leave Tofino and drive back toward the mainland. Stop in Port Alberni to see the deep-sea port surrounded by mountains, lakes, and streams. Then head to Nanaimo Harbour to walk along the shoreline with views across the Salish Sea toward the Coastal Mountains. Later, board the ferry for a relaxing two-hour journey back to the mainland, wrapping up your Pacific coast trip.
