Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech to Ourika Valley
You'll leave Marrakech early and head into the High Atlas foothills to reach Ourika Valley for the day. The route takes you through traditional Berber settlements where you can see how locals live in the mountains, then you'll walk to Setti Fatma to see the waterfalls with their seven cascading sections. The walk involves some scrambling along the Ourika River, so wear shoes with good grip. If you're going on a Monday, the Tnin Ourika souk market will be operating, and you can wander through stalls to browse local goods and try haggling while having some sweet Moroccan mint tea. The full day out and back gives you time to experience the valley without rushing, though bring water and snacks since services are limited once you're in the valley itself.
