Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Bozeman

    After getting picked up in Bozeman, you'll head to Gallatin Canyon for a zip line ride across the Gallatin River. Then settle in for a gourmet picnic lunch before tackling the short 2.6km hike to Ousel Falls. By evening, you'll wrap up the day at the 320 Steakhouse and Saloon for dinner.

  2. Day 2

    Gallatin Gateway

    You'll spend the day hiking to Beehive Basin in the Spanish Peaks, covering 11.3km with about 502m elevation gain. The trail takes you through wildflower meadows and past glacial streams, with views of the Madison and Gallatin Ranges plus Big Sky's Lone Mountain. Lunch happens trailside by an alpine lake. After that, you can either take a shuttle to Big Sky or head back to the ranch.

  3. Day 3

    Yellowstone

    The day starts with a trip to Yellowstone for a hike up to the Grand Prismatic Hot Spring overlook. From there, you'll see Old Faithful and check out the Upper Geyser Basin with its large collection of geysers. Grab a picnic lunch, then transfer to Canyon Lodge while stopping at West Thumb Geyser Basin along the way. Dinner is at Canyon Lodge.

  4. Day 4

    Yellowstone to Chico

    You'll hike the backcountry along the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone to reach viewpoints of the 308-foot Lower Falls. After that, shuttle to Gardiner for lunch at the historic Roosevelt Arch. Then it's time to board rafts for a scenic ride down the Yellowstone River with Class II and III rapids. The day finishes with a drive through Paradise Valley to Chico Hot Springs Resort and Day Spa for dinner.

  5. Day 5

    Chico

    Start with a leisurely horseback ride high into the Absaroka Mountains from Flying Diamond Ranch, taking in mountain views the whole time. You'll have a picnic lunch at the riding location, then head back for a short afternoon hike to Pine Creek Falls. Before dinner, spend some time soaking in Chico's natural hot spring pool, then enjoy a candlelit farewell dinner.

    Chico to Bozeman

    My youngest child is 3 yrs old. I'm concerned she's too small for some of these activities. Maybe. The age group of 1-99 is very vast for the Yellowstone, Big Sky tour. Is this package appropriate for a 3 year old?
