We traveled in luxury style both by motor coach and a 2-day trip on the Rockey Mountaineer Gold Leaf service train. The sightseeing was wonderful, entertaining and fabulous at every stop. The hotels are absolutely first class except that two of them (Lake Louise and Jasper) are not classic hotels without air conditioning. We had unusually hot weather (90+ degree days) - not usual for the region so although we had lots of sunshine, we did pay an uncomfortable price (completely out of the control of the tour operator). If you want to stay at some at the very best hotels western Canada has to offer, this is your tour. The drive from Banff to Jasper (via an overnight at Lake Louise) shouldn't be missed - there were glaciers around every turn. And best of all you even get to take special transport and go out and stand in the center of a huge glacier - believe me it's really cool!!!

My experience on the Luxury Gold 'Majesty of the Rockies' was outstanding. The hotels we stayed at were the best I've ever experienced. The Fairmont hotels in Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper were amazing but my favourite was the Four Seasons in Whistler - huge rooms, thermal pool and we even had a fire place in our room. The included meals were 'fine dining' expereinces showcasing the local Canadian cuisine including Albertan beef and BC sockeye salmon to name just two examples. My favourite was Hy's restaurant in Whistler - best steak I've ever had!!! So many inclusions and all were all fantastic - my favourite was the visit to the First Nations Cultural Centre for a Tea Ceremony and walk through the forest with a First Nations elder. Also loved walking out on the Athbasca glacier and the views along the Columbia Icefield Parkway. Loved the cliff walk just outside of Vancouver too - the Capilano bridge was busy but really fun and the cliff walk was amazing - must do! The coach was very comfortable with a huge amount of legroom - I'm 6'4" and could stretch my legs right out which was very different to other experiences I've had on other coaches. Last but not least, our Travelling Concierge, Virginia Wood was very attentive and informative but also a whole lot of fun. Great personality and would happily travel with her again.

In June 2018, my wife and I went on the 2- week The Majesty of the Rockies trip. It was one of our best and most memorable trips so far. Both Whistler and Banff were amazing. Every arrangement was streamlined. The scenery was breathtaking. Our tour concierge was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. We highly recommend this trip to anyone interested in seeing the Rockies.

Insights tour of Canada & Alaska ( DO NOT DO TRAVEL WITH THEM) would have to be the WORST TOUR we have ever done and we travel every year. the accommodation was not not up to standard, and many other things, many in our group complained to Insight of course they made up excuses.

My wife and I have recently booked our seventh Insight tour for June 2018 on the Majesty of the Rockies tour. The booking service we have experienced from Insight in the lead up to this tour has been poor with three separate issues. The first issue was when we were unable to get confirmation of the cabin booking for the Alaska Cruise and ended up booking directly with the cruise line and got a nominated cabin and a better offer. The second issue was when Insight cancelled the accommodation at the iconic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise without any explanation. The third issue was when Insight would only offer a single extra night accommodation in Vancouver and we have ended up paying a higher rate for additional accommodation. Three strikes and Insight is out as far as we are concerned!

In September my wife and I travelled on the Canadian Majestic Rockies bus tour. Our guide was Ben Hutchinson. We had a magnificent time throughout the tour. Ben proved to be an amazing tour director. He was extremely well prepared for each day, with excellent and relevant information at his fingertips, well-chosen food and music add-ons and an exceptionally fine character. His enthusiasm was contagious throughout the group for the whole tour and his sense of humour went down with much enjoyment. He is an exceptional young man and tour leader. I have now travelled with Insight six times, all tour directors have been outstanding. Ben would rate as the best I have toured with.

Recently my wife and I did an Insight tour (#9) "Majesty of the Rockies" 3/9/2017 - 16/9/2017. Our Tour Guide was a charming young man, Ben Hutchinson, who made our travels and tour highlights a wonderful and enjoyable experience. The tour itself was well organised and ran smoothly due to Ben's ability to make every situation humorous, well informed and interesting. The accommodation throughout the tour was excellent, the coach always very clean, and the tour driver Owen courteous and experienced. John and Susan McClean
