Customer Reviews
- Peter· May 7th, 2025Our guide and itinerary were very good, but accommodations were uneven with the Bealey Quarter Hotel, where the tour began and ended, having substandard accommodations and services.Show more
- Tim· April 13th, 2025Outstanding overview of the entire country. Liked that we stayed most places for 2 nights rather than changing accommodations every night. Provided numerous activities at all locations although some were a bit spendy especially those that included flying i.e. Heli Hikes on Franz Josef Glacier. Hobbiton was a highlight as was Queenstown's 4WD LOTR locations tour. Our guide was well versed on history and Māori culture and shared great insights on both during the travel time we had on the bus. Bus was comfortable and provided great views of the amazing landscape. Well-paced for the number of days included.Show more
- Hilda· March 16th, 2025The tour was excellent, a very good itinerary, our tour leader, Adam had a very good knowledge & his commentary on road while driving from one place to another was very good, he stopped at interesting spots for us to spend time, view & take pictures.Show more

Asked on February 2nd, 2023What is the average weight of the backpack that will need to be carried? What is the weather like in October?
- Intrepid TravelOperator•Written February 2023
The most pleasant time for traveling throughout New Zealand is summer (December to February); however, this is also the busiest period, especially during school holidays (late December to late January). Winter can get very cold with frequent snowfall - but this is the perfect time to travel if you're looking to ski or snowboard, particularly in the South Island.
