Munich
Your first day in Munich is open for you to settle in at your own pace. Walk around the city and get a feel for the neighborhoods that interest you. There's no scheduled activities, so you can grab coffee at a local café, wander through the streets, or just relax at your hotel before the tour officially kicks off tomorrow.

Landmarks/POIs Marienplatz - Day 2
Munich to Bavarian Alps
Today you'll head out on a full-day guided tour into the Bavarian Alps. The main stop is Neuschwanstein Castle, the palace King Ludwig built back in the 1800s. You'll drive through beautiful garden landscapes and get the history behind this iconic fortress. It's one of those castles you see everywhere, and seeing it in person gives you a real sense of its scale and the dramatic setting in the mountains.

Munich to Nuremberg to Bamberg
A guided tour takes you through Nuremberg's medieval old town, where you'll see the gothic cathedral, walk around Kaiserburg Castle perched on the hill, and check out the gilded fountain in the main square. After spending the day exploring the architecture and history, you'll head to the dock in the evening and board an overnight cruise heading toward Bamberg.

Bamberg to Würzburg
Starting at the Adventure Center, you can choose how to experience Bamberg. Option one is biking along the canals through town, or you can join a guided walking tour that takes you through this former imperial seat. Either way, you'll see the Romanesque cathedral, the Old Town Hall sitting right in the middle of the river, and the seven hills surrounding the city, each topped with a church. By evening you're boarding another overnight cruise, this time heading to Würzburg.

Würzburg
Würzburg offers two ways to explore with your Adventure Host, either by bike or on a guided sightseeing tour. You'll see the Old Main Bridge, the fortress rising above the city, and the baroque Bishop's Residenz with its famous ceiling fresco inside. There's live entertainment on the ship in the evening before you sail overnight to Miltenberg.

Miltenberg to Frankfurt
A guided walk through Miltenberg shows off the half-timber buildings that line the streets, many dating back centuries. You'll visit Germany's oldest inn while exploring the medieval town. After lunch and some free time, you'll board the cruise ship heading to Frankfurt, settling in for another overnight on the water.

Frankfurt
Frankfurt gives you several options in the morning. Bike with your Adventure Host, tour the nearby town of Seligenstadt and its historic Einhard Basilika, or take a sightseeing tour of Frankfurt's financial district and cultural museums mixed with charming older neighborhoods. You'll have the afternoon free to wander on your own, then enjoy live entertainment on board before boarding your overnight cruise to Boppard.

Landmarks/POIs Einhard Basilika - Day 8
Boppard to Rüdesheim
The ship takes you through the Rhine Gorge, and you can spend time on the Sky Deck watching the landscape pass by. In Rüdesheim, choose between hiking through the vineyards with your Adventure Host or visiting the Mechanical Music Museum to see vintage instruments in action. That evening you're boarding again for an overnight sail to Strasbourg.

Landmarks/POIs Rhine Gorge Pfalzgrafenstein Castle - Day 9
Strasbourg
Your Adventure Host leads a city tour of Strasbourg showing the gothic cathedral with its stained-glass windows, pointing out the ancient murals painted on buildings, and taking you to see the astronomical clock. You'll walk through La Petite France District with its charming canals and old buildings before boarding the ship for an overnight cruise to Breisach.

Landmarks/POIs Strasbourg Cathedral La Petite France District - Day 10
Breisach
Breisach offers multiple options to fill your day. Take a full-day guided tour into the Black Forest visiting an open-air museum, a traditional water mill, and watching butter being made the old-fashioned way, or bike along the Rhine with your Adventure Host, or visit a local winery to learn about German wine and do some tasting. There's also an optional morning trip to the village of Colmar if you're interested. By evening you're boarding for an overnight cruise heading to Basel.
