Local guides were knowledgeable and passionate about sharing the history of each location we visited. The temples, particularly the Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple in Madurai, were stunning. Hotels were always good star. The driving was comfortable, even on the longer routes. The wildlife safari at Periyar was a highlight, and I loved the backwater houseboat experience in Alleppey. Hotel accommodations were good standard but upgrade option is good for more comfort trip. The drive from Chennai to Kanchipuram was scenic, and Kanchipuram’s temples were a spiritual highlight. In Periyar, the wildlife safari was unforgettable. I felt like I truly immersed myself in the history and culture of South India.
