Itinerary
- Day 1
Windhoek
You'll land at Windhoek International Airport and meet your car rental representative to pick up your vehicle. From there, it's about an hour's drive to River Crossing Lodge where you'll settle in. The afternoon and evening are free, so if you feel like it, you can head into Windhoek to check out the Ink Palace, Christ Church, or the Old Fortress. Dinner happens back at the lodge.

Windhoek to Kalahari Desert
After breakfast, you'll drive south through Rehoboth and Mariental toward the Kalahari Desert. Rehoboth's worth a quick stop since it's the historic home of the Baster community. You'll arrive at your lodge in the afternoon with time to check in and get comfortable. Dinner is served at the lodge in the evening.

Landmarks/POIs Rehoboth - Day 3
Kalahari Desert to Sossusvlei
This morning you can take your time over breakfast, then drive via Maltahohe heading toward Sossusvlei in the Namib Desert. You'll reach Desert Hills Lodge by early afternoon, check in, and have the rest of the day to relax. Dinner is at the lodge.

- Day 4
Sossusvlei
You'll head out before sunrise with packed breakfasts, driving to Sesriem gate for Sossusvlei and Namib Naukluft Park. The last 5 km requires four-wheel drive vehicles. Then you'll climb one of the world's tallest sand dunes and look for oryx, springbok, and ostrich. Later, explore Sesriem Canyon with its 30-40 meter gorge and water pools. Back at Desert Hills by afternoon, you can relax by the pool or on your veranda before dinner.

Sossusvlei to Swakopmund
You'll drive through the Namib Desert toward the coast, stopping by Solitaire for its famous apple pie, then continuing to Walvis Bay. There you can see the lagoon's birdlife including flamingos and rare white pelicans. You'll arrive in Swakopmund by early afternoon and have time to walk around this quiet coastal town or join an optional city tour before evening.

Landmarks/POIs Solitaire Walvis Bay Lagoon - Day 6
Swakopmund
Today is yours to do as you like in Swakopmund. Whether you choose to relax at the beach, take a boat trip, or head into the desert, it's your call. For dinner, pick a restaurant in town that appeals to you and enjoy the evening there.

Swakopmund to Kalkfeld
You'll take your time over breakfast, then drive inland through Usakos, Karibib, and Omaruru to reach Erindi Old Traders Lodge. This popular lodge gets you checked in by afternoon. Dinner is served in the evening at the lodge.

Kalkfeld
Start with a leisurely breakfast on the deck overlooking the waterhole, or sign up for an early morning game drive instead. Later, you can either rest during the day or join an afternoon game drive that ends with a sundowner from a mountain viewpoint. Dinner happens in the evening.

Kalkfeld to Windhoek
After breakfast at the lodge, you'll head to Windhoek via Okahandja, the historic center for Herero people and wood carvers worth a look. Once you arrive in Windhoek, check into your hotel and get settled for your last night of the trip.

Windhoek to Airport
You'll have breakfast, then drive to Hosea Kutako International Airport, passing through Okahandja and Windhoek. Drop off your rental vehicle and head inside to check in for your flight home.
