Chamonix-Mont-Blanc
You'll arrive in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc and get settled into your accommodation. This is your chance to organize gear, grab dinner somewhere local, and rest up before the hiking begins tomorrow.

Chamonix to Argentière
Take the telecabine up to Planpraz and follow the balcony trail with views of Mont-Blanc's north face, Les Bossons Glacier, and Mer de Glace. You'll hike to the lakes at Chéserys, then make your way down to Argentière village for the night.

Argentière to Champex
A 20-minute bus transfer gets you to Trient. From there, choose between the scenic balcony trail through alpine pastures overlooking the Rhone Valley or the tougher route via la fenêtre d'Arpette. Both paths head down to Champex, Switzerland where you'll stay overnight.

Landmarks/POIs Rhone Valley - Day 4
Champex to Courmayeur
After breakfast, catch a local bus across Val Fouly and hike through pastures to Grand Col Ferret at 2537m, crossing from Switzerland into Italy. There's an optional side trip to Tête Ferret if you want. Descend into Italian Val Ferret, then a short bus ride takes you to Courmayeur.

Courmayeur to Les Chapieux
A local bus takes you to La Visaille. You'll climb through Val Veny to Elisabetta Refuge and continue to Col de la Seigne, crossing back from Italy into France. Optional Lake Miage visit is available at the foot of Miage Glacier. End the day at a gîte or refuge in the area.

Les Chapieux to Les Contamines-Montjoie
Today brings you to the highest point at Col des Fours (2665m). You'll pass through Col du Bonhomme mountain pass, enter Montjoie Valley, then cross into Vallée des Glaciers with views around you. Finish by descending via the old Roman road to Notre Dame de la Gorge chapel and Les Contamines-Montjoie.

Les Contamines-Montjoie to Chamonix
Your final hiking day starts with a free transfer to La Gruvaz. Head through Champel village to Bionnassay Glacier, or take the alternative via Col du Tricot at 2100m if you prefer views of Dômes de Miage and Chamonix Valley. Descend to Les Houches, then catch a bus back to Chamonix.
