- Day 1
San Jose
The airport pickup gets you to San Jose, where you'll check into your hotel and settle in. After that, the rest of the day is yours to walk around the city and get familiar with the area.

San Jose to Monteverde
You'll have breakfast early, then meet your pickup around 7:00 am for the drive to Monteverde Cloud Forest. Once you arrive and get checked in, your guide will take you into the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve to see the unique ecosystem and all the wildlife that lives there.

Monteverde
After breakfast, head out to Selvatura Park where you can walk across the hanging treetop bridges at your own pace and get views of the canopy from up above. The park also has one of the biggest butterfly gardens in the Americas to walk through. You'll arrange your own time to head back to the hotel later.

Monteverde
Following breakfast, get picked up around 9:30 am for the 3 in 1 Coffee Tour, which covers coffee history, chocolate-making and tasting, and how they make sugar cane juice by hand. The tour runs about 2.5 hours, so you'll have the afternoon free to check out Monteverde on your own.

Monteverde to Tamarindo
Check out after breakfast around 9:00 am and transfer down to Tamarindo, a popular beach town on the Gold Coast known for white-sand beaches and clear Pacific water. Get settled at your hotel and spend the rest of the day enjoying the beach or wandering through town.

Tamarindo
This day is all yours in Tamarindo. Spend time on the beach, use the pool, shop around, or explore the nearby areas and see what else the town has to offer.

Tamarindo
Start with a relaxed morning on the beach. Around 1:00 pm, you'll board a sunset catamaran cruise along the Gold Coast. The boat passes by bays, beaches, and jungle as you look for dolphins, sea turtles, and whales. You'll also snorkel in a calm bay, spend time on a quiet beach, and have a BBQ dinner while watching the sunset. Plan for about 4 hours total.
