Itinerary
- Day 1
Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
You'll meet your guide in Arusha town for a safari briefing that covers what to expect over the coming days. From there, the drive takes you to Lake Manyara National Park, and you'll arrive with enough time to grab lunch at the lodge. The afternoon game drive starts after you've had a chance to settle in. On this drive, watch for elephants moving through the landscape, tree-climbing lions lounging in acacia branches, and flamingos gathered along the shallow soda lake that gives the park its name. Keep your camera ready throughout the afternoon as animals tend to be active as the day cools.

- Day 2
Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro Crater to Tarangire National Park
Start with breakfast, then head toward Ngorongoro Crater for the main event of the day. You'll descend about 600 meters down into the crater itself, which feels like entering a completely different world. The crater floor supports roughly 30,000 animals, so the wildlife viewing here tends to be concentrated and frequent. You'll spot black rhinos, wildebeest, zebra, and lions all in one location. Midday brings a picnic lunch served right in the crater. After eating and more driving around the crater floor, you travel onward to Tarangire National Park where you'll stay for the night.

- Day 3
Tarangire National Park to Arusha
You have a full day at Tarangire National Park dedicated to game drives with a picnic lunch packed for midday. The park holds massive elephant herds, sometimes numbering up to 300 animals traveling together, plus wildebeest, zebra, and buffalo throughout the landscape. Predators including lions and cheetahs patrol the park regularly. Tarangire also hosts dry-country species you won't see elsewhere, like the fringe-eared Oryx and the tall, long-necked gerenuk. By late afternoon, you'll head back toward Arusha, completing your three-day safari circuit.
