- Day 1
Mombasa to Shimba Hills
You'll get picked up from your hotel early in the morning and head to Shimba Hills for a game drive. The main highlight here is Sheldrick Falls, which drops 82 feet into a natural pool where you can take a swim if you're up for it (just note this requires some fitness). After lunch back at the lodge, there's time to relax and watch the sunset over the Usambara Mountains before dinner and your overnight stay.

Shimba Hills to Taita Hills
Breakfast comes early at the lodge, then you'll drive north through the countryside, passing through Kinango and along an old railway route heading toward Nairobi. You'll see the Tsavo plains and Taita Hills come into view as the landscape opens up. The next stop is Ngutuni Sanctuary for a game drive and lunch overlooking a waterhole, after which you continue on to Salt Lick Lodge. This lodge sits on stilts right above another waterhole, which gives you a unique vantage point. You'll do an afternoon game drive and spot lions, elephants, giraffes, and zebras before dinner and your overnight stay.

- Day 3
Taita Hills to Mombasa
An early game drive starts around 6:30 am in Taita Hills Sanctuary, and if the weather cooperates you might see Mount Kilimanjaro's snow-covered peak from here. Back at the resort for breakfast, you'll take another short game drive to Taita Hills Lodge for lunch. The afternoon drive back to Mombasa gets you to your hotel by evening.
