You'll arrive in London and check into your hotel, then the afternoon is yours to spend however you like. Consider taking a walk along the Serpentine in Hyde Park, checking out the shops in Knightsbridge, or wandering down to the Thames to see Tower Bridge and the Tower of London.

Meet your travel director at 07:45 at the hotel and head to Oxford for some free time to visit the Ashmolean Museum or browse the indoor market. From there you'll drive through the Cotswolds villages to Stratford-upon-Avon and see Shakespeare's birthplace. By evening, join your director for a welcome dinner with drinks at a local pub.

You'll travel through Robin Hood Country to reach Lincoln, then continue on to York, the ancient Viking capital of Britain. Walk along the Shambles medieval street to get to York Minster. Your hotel sits right within the city walls and faces Clifford's Tower.

Drive through the scenic Lake District National Park with its rugged mountains and tranquil lakes that inspired English poets. You'll stop in Grasmere to visit William Wordsworth's grave in the churchyard. Later, cross the border at Gretna Green and continue to Edinburgh, Scotland's capital.

Edinburgh
Head down the Royal Mile to see the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the official Scottish residence of the Queen. The afternoon is free to shop on Princes Street. Selected departures can attend the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in the evening.

Then continue to Pitlochry, a Victorian resort town known for its salmon run. Stop at Blair Castle and Gardens for authentic farm-to-table tea and scones. Pass Culloden Moor and arrive at Inverness.

Travel west to Galway, the City of the Tribes known for its artsy atmosphere. You'll have free time to explore this vibrant city. Then cross the limestone landscape of the Burren to the Visitor Centre at the Cliffs of Moher for great vistas of the Clare Coast. Journey to Limerick on the shores of the River Shannon.

Limerick to Killarney
In the morning your travel director will show you the 12th century St. Mary's Cathedral, King John's Castle and the Treaty Stone. You'll head to Tralee via the thatched village of Adare. After that, drive through the great cliffs, wide skies and ocean views of the Dingle Peninsula to reach Killarney. Dinner is a traditional Sunday roast with all the trimmings.

Continue through Ireland's highest mountain range, the MacGillicuddy Reeks, to the three peaceful Lakes of Killarney. The rest of the afternoon is free to relax. You might take a jaunting car ride around the lake or through the National Park. For dinner, choose from a selection of restaurants in Killarney.
