Itinerary
- Day 1
Dushanbe
Your driver picks you up at the airport and takes you to settle into your hotel. From there, you'll head to the National Museum of Antiquities to see their extensive collection of over 5,000 cultural artifacts. Then it's on to the Botanical Garden, where you can walk through and spot rare migratory birds. After that, you'll visit Victory Park to pay your respects before heading back to your hotel for the evening.

- Day 2
Dushanbe
After breakfast, you'll drive out to Hisor Fortress, which dates back 2,500 years and was an important stop on the ancient Silk Road. From there, you head to Rudaki Park to relax for a bit. Later in the day, you'll see Soviet-era architecture around the city including the National Library, Palace of Nations, and Parliament, plus the world's second-tallest flagpole at 165 meters tall. You'll also check out the National Museum with its 50,000+ artifacts, the ornate Navruz Palace, and finish at the lively Asian Bazaar where local vendors sell all sorts of goods.

Nurek
You'll drive around 1.5 hours to Nurek City to see the Nurek Dam, which is the world's second-highest at approximately 300 meters. There's a viewing platform where you can take in panoramic views of the dam on the Vakhsh River and the Nurek Reservoir, which has beautiful green waters surrounded by red mountains. After the tour ends, you return to Dushanbe and have the rest of the day free to do what you like.

Iskanderkul Lake
Leaving Dushanbe early, you drive north along the M34 Highway through the Anzob Pass for about 3 hours until you reach the triangle-shaped Iskanderkul Lake. Once there, you'll do a 40-minute hike along the riverbank to see Iskanderkul Waterfall, which drops from around 40 meters. Then you cross a small hill to get views of Snake Lake (Kulimoron). By noon you're back at Iskanderkul Lake with the afternoon and evening free to explore at your own pace.

Panjakent
You'll drive through Zarafshan Valley and pass Alauddin Lakes with their vibrant turquoise colors, then after 5 hours you arrive at Panjakent, an old Silk Road settlement. From there, you visit Sarazm, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with ancient ruins. Next comes the Republican Museum of History and Local Lore of Rudaki, where you can see pottery, wood carvings, jewelry, murals, and coins from different periods. You'll also explore the Ancient Town of Panjakent, one of Central Asia's most important archaeological finds, then end at a local bazaar before returning to your hotel.

Seven Lakes
You'll travel 60 kilometers south of Panjakent to explore Seven Lakes, which are glacial lakes at high altitude with emerald, turquoise, and dark blue waters. You start at the 4th lake, Nofin, and do a short hike. Then you pass the 5th lake, Khurdak, and reach the 6th lake, Marguzor, which is the largest and most impressive of the group. After that, you hike up to the 7th lake, Hazorchasma, crossing a gravel hill that gives you bird's-eye views of all the lakes and the valley below. Then you head back to Panjakent.

Dushanbe
After breakfast, you drive back toward Dushanbe along the M34 Highway for about 3 hours. You'll pass through the 5,000-meter long Anzob Tunnel, which locals call the 'Tunnel of Death' because it has no lighting or ventilation. Your experienced local driver knows these roads well, so the drive is safe even though it's thrilling. After another 2 hours driving, you arrive in Dushanbe, check in, and have the rest of the day free to relax.

Dushanbe
