Asked on July 9th, 2023Any suggestions for a good 4* -5* hotel in Seoul? A good hotel in Seoul. I may get there a few days before to explore Seoul by myself. Any suggestions?
- Crooked CompassOperator•Written July 2023
The best area to stay in Seoul for first time solo travellers is the Myeongdong district. It is close to the main shopping and night market streets, good public transport and close to N. Seoul Tower and the palaces.

Traveler•Written July 2023If it's just me who is signing up for this tour how much more money would you like in order to make the tour materialize? In other words, would you consider making it a private tour? And if yes, how much will it cost me?
- Crooked CompassOperator•Written July 2023
If we were to do this same itinerary for one guest on these dates we would be looking at just over $24,000. So, if in August you were to decide to go ahead with doing a private tour of South Korea, we could build an itinerary similar to this but making adjustments to try and bring the solo traveller package price down.

Traveler•Written July 2023I am curious about option 2. In essence, I would love to see some of the more famous and dramatic national parks. What would you have in mind in terms of tailoring it down to bring the price down? Can you give me an idea of an itinerary?

Asked on December 10th, 2022If this tour's age range is 18-99 how would a person in her 70's take a 2 hr. hike?? and there are some other things that a person that age would have difficulty doing. I am interested in taking the tour sometime in the month of april 2023
- Crooked CompassOperator•Written December 2022
The age range on this tour is not restrictive. In terms of physical capabilities, this is up to the individual to determine if they are physically capable of this tour. We operate this tour as a small group tour in October for the changing of the colours. We could certainly operate it in April, but it would be a private departure and pricing would need to be adjusted to reflect the change in season and cost for a sole traveller.

Traveler•Written December 2022I didn't realize that the was only for October. In other words, you don't do this tour in any other month?
- Crooked CompassOperator•Written December 2022
Our only 2023 group tour departure for South Korea on Foot is scheduled in October. If you are travelling in April and would like to do this itinerary, we can book a private driver and guide for your chosen dates and you would be travelling on your own.

Traveler•Written December 2022Thanks. No, I would not want to book a private tour since it would be too expensive.
