Itinerary
- Day 1
Huangshan to Xidi Village
You'll arrive in Huangshan and get picked up for a private car ride to Xidi Village with a local guide. This ancient settlement has been around for over 1000 years and the architecture here is really well preserved, with those distinctive black tile roofs and white walls that define the Anhui style. After you settle in, spend the afternoon walking through the village. The layout and traditional buildings actually look like something from a classic Chinese ink painting, so it's worth taking your time to get oriented and see how everything connects.

You'll find a nice lake there and lots of wooden carvings throughout the buildings. Have lunch with some local food and then spend the rest of the day wandering around and checking out the different structures.
