    Kathmandu

    Touch down at Tribhuvan International Airport and get picked up for your hotel transfer. Once you check in, head out into Thamel to hunt for souvenirs and get a feel for the city. Dinner tonight features authentic Nepalese food, so you can start getting a sense of the local flavors.

  2. Day 2

    Kathmandu

    Start with a guided tour hitting Kathmandu's key sites like Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath (the Monkey Temple), and Bouddhanath Stupa. Around noon, sit down with your trek leader and team for a pre-trip meeting covering what to expect on the trail ahead. Stay in Kathmandu again tonight.

    Kathmandu to Chamje

    Drive from Kathmandu to Chamje village, where your trek actually starts. At 1,430 meters/4,691 feet elevation, Chamje sits in the Annapurna Region with a waterfall and green surroundings. You'll spend the night here getting ready for early mornings ahead.

  4. Day 4

    Chamje to Dharapani

    Get an early start through vegetable plantations and past waterfalls, walking through communities with Tibetan roots. Cross a suspension bridge below the village and tackle two steep sections to reach Tal. Continue into Manang district through Kodo, then finish at Dharapani, one of the larger settlements around. Overnight in Dharapani.

  5. Day 5

    Dharapani to Chame

    Hike through steep forested ridges today, working around several landslide areas on the path to Chame. You'll catch views of Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II, and Annapurna IV at 7,525 meters/24,688 feet. There are small hot springs along the way for a quick soak. Chame is the district headquarters and your overnight spot.

  6. Day 6

    Chame to Pisang

    Trek over rolling terrain today, crossing multiple rivers and passing through small settlements. The route gets narrow and steep in places, and you'll see Paungda Danda rise dramatically, a curved rock face shooting up 1,500 meters/4,921 feet from the river. Annapurna II and Pisang Peak come into view before you descend into Manang Valley. Stop in Pisang for the night.

  7. Day 7

    Pisang to Manang

    Head from Pisang to Manang going through Upper Pisang and Geru, with great sightlines of Mount Annapurna, Pisang Peak, and surrounding ridges. Air gets colder and drier as you gain elevation. Visit Barge Monastery, the biggest in Manang District. Manang is your destination tonight.

  8. Day 8

    Manang to Khangsar

    Make your way up to Khangsar as the trail winds through a gorge with Tilicho Peak visible above, often wrapped in clouds. Small scenic villages and Tore monastery dot the route, and you'll see the Annapurna range the whole time. The Khangsar River runs alongside before you reach a big natural barrier and finally arrive in Khangsar. Sleep here tonight.

  9. Day 9

    Khangsar to Tilicho Base Camp

    Trek from Khangsar to Tilicho Lake Base Camp across wide grassy fields with valley views stretching out. There's a small hill to climb, then a steep drop into the base camp area. Lodges are scarce here, so camping becomes your accommodation option. You'll overnight at the base camp.

  10. Day 10

    Tilicho Lake

    Leave camp and trek across moraine along the mountainside toward Tilicho Lake, with Tilicho, Nilgiri, Khangsar, and Muktinath peaks surrounding you. When you reach the lake, one of the world's highest, take time to sit by the turquoise waters (sometimes frozen depending on season) and take in the mountain scenery. Head back down to base camp for the evening.

  11. Day 11

    Tilicho Base Camp to Yak Kharka

    Depart Tilicho Base Camp and shift from the green Marsyangdi Valley into a harsh alpine landscape with minimal vegetation. Pass the old Khangsar village ruins and cross a log bridge over the river between Gumsang and Yak Kharka. Yak Kharka is a true Himalayan settlement where yaks roam the hillside. Annapurna III views here are excellent. Overnight in Yak Kharka.

  12. Day 12

    Yak Kharka to Thorang Phedi

    Trek uphill from Yak Kharka and cross a suspension bridge to reach Ledar. Keep climbing through steep cliffs toward Thorang Phedi, the last settlement before Thorong La Pass. You'll see Mount Gundang, Mount Syagang, Thorung Peak, and Mount Khatungkan on the way up. Stay in Thorang Phedi tonight to rest before the big pass crossing tomorrow.

  13. Day 13

    Thorang Phedi to Muktinath

    Today you cross Thorong La Pass, one of the world's highest passes, moving from east to west between Manang and Muktinath, which is the safer and easier direction. Set your alarm for around 3 AM to start the tough climb. Getting to the top is a major accomplishment worth photographing. After that, trek down to Muktinath Valley at the base. Muktinath is home tonight.

  14. Day 14

    Muktinath to Jomsom

    Spend time exploring Muktinath, a sacred place for both Hindu and Buddhist visitors. Check out Muktinath Temple where water pours from spouts flowing from streams above. The views of Mount Dhaulagiri are fantastic here, and you might grab a fossilized mollusk called a Shaligram as a keepsake. Later, trek through meadows crossing streams and climbing hills to reach Kagbeni, a charming place with chortens and a small monastery. After lunch, head to Jomsom in Kali Gandaki Valley. Stay in Jomsom.

    Jomsom to Pokhara

    Fly to Pokhara this morning with views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges and the world's deepest gorge stretching below. Pokhara's warmer climate feels like a change of pace. Take a quiet boat ride on the lake to catch Fishtail Mountain reflected in the water, or walk to Davis Falls if you prefer. Wander the lakeside in the evening hunting for souvenirs. Pokhara is your overnight spot.

    Departure

    • For any tour departing before February 17th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 17th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Alpine Club of Himalaya. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
