Itinerary
- Day 1
Amritsar
You'll arrive in Amritsar and head straight to the Golden Temple, the spiritual center of Sikhism. The temple's golden structure reflects beautifully in the surrounding pool, and you can walk around the complex and observe the community kitchen in action. Later in the evening, drive out to the Wagah border crossing to catch the Beating Retreat Ceremony, where Indian and Pakistani border guards perform an intense display of high kicks and dramatic marching as they close the gates for the night. It's quite a show, and the energy between both sides is almost theatrical despite the political tension.
